  1. Sure some of you are not that old to remember Minardi, as an example? From Wiki: Minardi was an Italian automobile racing team and constructor founded in Faenza in 1979 by Giancarlo Minardi. It competed in the Formula One World Championship from 1985 until 2005 with little success, nevertheless acquiring a loyal following of fans. In 2001, to save the team from folding, Minardi sold it to Australian businessman Paul Stoddart, who ran the team for five years before selling it on to Red Bull in 2005 who renamed it Scuderia Toro Rosso. So I would not be quite so dismissive of their future - I'm sure there is an oil well owner out there who has excess liquid gold slushing around to see what they can do....
  2. Clark Motorsport (trader on here) have excellent feedback - hopefully they are not too far from you.
  3. Glad to hear its all ended amicably but if it were me I would change the locks to be on the safe side.
  4. Moved sub forums - not sure why you put it under 350 insurance - when I saw that my heart sank for you

    Help

Why the scared faces? Surely the fact the key recognizes its brother has been left in the car is a bonus rather than panicking that it has been lost elsewhere?
  6. I'm in no rush atm. But getting something that gives me the driving pleasure that GUNs did is a hard act to follow but the options are narrowing........
  7. You would need planning permission for either a single or two (or more) storey extension on the side of a house fronting a road. Can't stress enough the need to check with the planning authority as to whether they would agree - some are fairly laid back but with others it is a no-no on principle. Yes, there is an appeal route if you get rejected but win rate is only around 35%. Trawling through the register of applications and/or spotting recently built extensions similar to what you are looking at will help to reveal if you are likely have an uphill struggle, or not. So if the extension is vital to your needs you must check that out as far as you reasonably can as a vendor is unlikely to wait while you get plans drawn up and than application decided - allow 12 weeks minimum knowing Local Planning authorites often exceed their published targets for deciding applications. You could involve a local Chartered planning consultant (my profession before retirement) who is likely to know if you have some hope or otherwise (or indeed other alternatives ) as I would advise extreme caution about any advice you are given by the duty planning officer you may see at the Council offices. All too often their outcome predictions do not materialize and even though charges are normally levelled for pre-submission advice it is on a 'without prejudice' basis. If you need any more informal advice feel free to pm me Chris.

    Help

You sure the second key isn't in the car - that will cause the symptons you have.
  9. This makes me laugh Guy obviously on the phone to his mates about what a stunning car he has just come across. The women - know where to look for the real gold
  10. Being brutally honest I'm afraid from my experience that does look like it is a stone chip as its too far away from the wheel nuts and I found over 5 years of 370 ownership that the wheels are prone to stone chipping, the wheel design seeming to attract those far more that I saw with the 350 wheels. Wear and tear I'me afraid, albeit unfortuate for you it so soon after picking the car up. Bear in mind that I have not heard on a single wheel repair job that has resulted in it matching the others. After 4 years I had all 4 of mine refurbed finally brought on by a very inconsiderate kerb , and very pleased with the powder coat job done, but knew there was no way I could expect a match for the OEM from the factory. Just mention that before you tootle off to the dealer who may take pity on you and offer a repair that may turn out not as you had hoped. Will370z had this issue with his.
  11. If a polite request to leave is turned down then it seems to me the advice above should be enacted asap. Keep within the law as sadly in this country it is often the case that the 'innocent' party ends up getting punished.
  12. Shame I need 4 seats now as that ticks the boxes for me otherwise and from other pics I have seen the interior is the icing on the cake
  13. So if you are going 50/50 on everything and she is getting the ZED she should be giving you something in retuirn and a R34 sounds fair
  14. Reckon that might be Tophooker "right near Lloyds bank and the sex shop"
  15. Much left in the bottle Hugh?
  16. For me, a real downside of the 370 auto is the paddles are mounted on the wheel which does not help when pressing on along the twisties That said, in a straight line it is a tad quicker than the manual.
  17. Perhaps you ought to see the H & S check on the planes to make sure they have matching tyres and won't skid into you
  18. Just hope other wannabes read this and take note, afterall that has to be one of the biggest reasons joining the forum to find out the potential pitfalls.
  19. I thought you were referring to the pedestrian having to walk in the road
  20. That should be fun and I see you are alreading modding it with the ali in the roll hoop - towards head protection no doubt. But what concerns me more from that pic is that you seem to be using the air intakes for holding candles
  21. Anywhere between 15 on a good day and 32 mpg on a bad day , but really dependent on the right foot and mine erred on the heavy side
