    R35 Owners

+1 and I would have to say, and having had the pleasure of passenger laps with Alex, that others would be hard pushed to get the mileage out of their tyres that Alex does as his lines meant the rubber being put down was being used 100% effectively and not wasted on sliding, wheel spinning excessive braking etc.
  3. I tend to agree - and sadly Lewis seems more pre-occupied with his hair these days than enjoying the driving opportunity he has been given.
  4. Your insurance company is going to think they have hit the jackpot, if they have the round objects to keep you on
  5. OK that is good to hear. But I would also be asking for the GB oil to be drained and and refilled, with the correct amount of Molyslip, given some will have been lost with the leak and that is what you paid for. Oh, and make absolutely sure the GB oil is the correct type - Zmanalex can advise (sorry I forgot what type this is now without looking it up} as that is quite critical from what I have seen posted on here over the years. Edit: did a search for the correct GB oil - see this link: http://cougarstore.c...018b3692ded1225

    Hi

from one long termer on here to another, but I'm now Zedless after 3 of them - the best car ownership experience that I've ever enjoyed in ** years of driving So credit to you you still have Zemo after 8 years and some difficult times
  7. The loose filler plug as undobtedly after this: Putting the molyslip in. and then you told us early October about a burning smell - presuming it was the new clutch, which I suspect was the beginning of the oil leak. Fortunately it was the filler leaking rather than than the drain plug as chances are you wouldn't have had any oil left in the gearbox by now and that could have been curtains for the box.
  8. Surely that is the fill plug and the drain plug is by the "L" in your "Oil Everywhere" note - see pic lifted off Google?
  9. And in case there are still those holding back for fear of increased mpg it makes **** all difference. What about the drop in BHP though, you`d need to turn it off when racing with a VXR or VRS surely ??.... As long as you don't turn off your brain as well if you are the public highway
  10. No problem for you Will, going topless everywhere, eh? All 3 of my Zeds would steam up if I didn't use the a/c - and Autumn is the classic time for this - just use the a/c and its not only good for you to see where you are going its good for the a/c to keep working at its best. And in case there are still those holding back for fear of increased mpg it makes **** all difference.
  11. It's a horrible time for them as I've said earlier, but F1 does not need also-rans. Neither team has contributed anything to the sport, apart from making up the numbers. Perhaps if all the teams had an equal share of the pot to help development.......
  12. >Before my time unfortunately but heard nothing but good stories about the guy. Big Phil was one of the first to get an R35 in the UK, and distinctive number plate to go with it (seen at Godalming 2008)
  13. Good news, but do we get to see.........
  14. Nice pair of Zeds (well one was until its nose got re-shaped) and have to say that is definitely the first Matt red 370 roadster I have seen
  15. Hmmmmm OP, you could play at him at his own game there. Two things. If you didn't mention what your working was day was that could be 9 to 4 , but if more realistically you are like most of the trades I have used start is normally 8/8.30 and finish at 4/4.30. And in my book if they finish early and the job done is good - good luck to them, as quite often on other jobs delays can crop up (i.e. material availiability not checked beforehand ) which can mean they take longer than expected, but that is their misfortune. Unless it is something byond their reasonable control and is negotiated while the the job is in progress. Hope you do get the money you quoted, but if he continues to be a pig, not worth losing sleep over and just make sure you don't help him again and your friend knows why that will be the case
  16. Yes as a cruiser they don't come much better for getting from A to B effortlessly, but it comes into its own when pushing on along B roads and really the mpg is going to take a dive, and all depending of course what you are doing with your right foot. Having seen many before you worry about the mpg but taking the plunge we have then seen sales soon follow on due to the running costs as they are not exactly cheap cars to run and given 350's are least 5 years old now going onto 12 years old so invariably wear and tear items, aside from any unexpected costs, will all add up. Deepish pockets then
  17. If you are driving it to be enjoyed then the title of your thread should be: MPG - I know it goes down a lot.
  18. Thread tided at request of OP and having adjusted his description of the cargo net.
  19. Do you know another 370 owner in your neck of the woods to compare if your wiper action is different?
  20. Having just sold my car I found out that when you send the V5C to DVLA with the green section filled about the sale they will repay the (former) owner the outstanding 'unused' full months. When.......now that we shall see........
  21. Yes, but you recently confirnmed in post 25 that you have no sat nav, hence why you do not have the full function.
