  1. Best to try both, but one observation I would make is the fact the paddles on the auto are fixed to the column as opposed to the steering wheel is not right in my book, certainly for spirited driving and that's even if you feel the ratios are right on the road...
  2. Many thanks for all the positive comments. Have to say I had several moments of should I pull out from the sale but as I said to Nino, I'm wasn't going to muck him around once I had offered to sell him GUNs and seeing how keen he was to follow up on my offer.
  3. Er....I don't own an oil well and the pension only streches so far New, or possibly up a year old and £30 max would be good (might stretch a bit more for the right car) but happy to see what comes up over the next few months when deals can be had and it ticks the boxes. As I said, 4 seats/5doors and the grin factor are musts
  4. Words fail me And I do trust that his name gets passed to track-day organizers to not let him anywhere near one of their events in the future. And wearing a great thick fleece 'cos he has to have the window fully open to rest his arm - total and utter dickhead.
  5. Well it was Nino's for sale thread that caught my eye and his desire for a 370 in his first post http://www.350z-uk.c...-350z-for-sale/ It appeared when I had decided the time was right to sell so I contacted with Nino to say I was so minded if he was interested and it went from there. I was really pleased when he posted up his thread seaking thoughts on a '59 370 or a later one with connect premium and I purposedly stayed out of that discussion so Nino could see others opinions without my 'influence'. It may seem surprsing to some, but you know what I highly value a sale where the buyer has done his homework and can feel he has made a purchase that is right for them.
  6. Yes, after nearly 5 glorious years I have said goodbye. Without doubt the 370 has been the best car I have ever owned and have had some absolutely fabulous drives and in fact well over half the 28k miles was on Forum related drives/meets etc with the Wales weekends and Scotland trips being the highlights. But for some time I have come to realise that life moves on and with 2 grandchildren and many friends that June & I wish to share more time with 4 seats; 5 doors and some good grunt under the bonnet is a must. Although we own a Mazda2 Sport I really have to replace GUNs with something else that gives me a driving pleasure as well as being practical. So the hunt begins The really good news is that GUNs has gone to a forum member who having met him today I'm absolutely confident he will 'love' GUNs in the same way I have - a great guy to do business with and a credit to this community. So Nino, (aka parello9) enjoy your new ride and make sure you look after GUNS as I will be watching
  7. Think he is pointing us to this one http://www.the370z.c...lack-370-a.html
  8. Out of curiosity Alex, do you know how many laps of Knockhill your Roadster has done?

    Exhaust ?

Haydn's HR roadster sounds very nice - see posts 62 and then vid at 114 (jump to 1min 20secs to have a listen) in link below : http://www.350z-uk.c...ford-track-day/
  10. What viscosity are you using - might be worth using a higher grade to help compensate for the likely internal wear. See here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/10747-16-important-oil-questions-and-answers/
  11. Sadly, the 350 bluetooth adaptor does not work with an increasing number of the new phones whereas that inbuilt in the 370 is less problematic
  12. Nice. Like the GTR number plate too.
  13. OP: Merging Posts No.8 onwards into this thread that you had already started
  14. You know that to be the case for a 370?
  15. I gather they can be calibrated to alter the sensitivity - done to suit driver preferences. Or you could try disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes as that has been known to effect a cure (that's not on 370's though). Or maybe the sensor is just faulty
  16. It's the thought of dealing with BT customer services as I doubt my issue is on their screen scripts, even if I understand them.
  17. A quick google will reveal some of the scams used with paypal..... http://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3152832
  18. It will be picked up during a survey (unless the buyer is foolish enough not to have one done), so in my experience is always best when you know something in the house is on its last legs to say up front so nasty shocks for either the buyer or the seller being offered a silly price because of issues. Same principles as selling a car, for me.
  19. Rear hatch spring is covered under warranty - had mine done but not always 100% opening first time. The clicking may be the pads moving in the calipers - an issue I found that affected the 350's and I think I read on here of someone having something similar with their 370. I have not heard yet of the clicking axle or drop links being an issue on the 370s......unless someone knows better?
  20. Agreed repair, and say the for sale price of the house has reflected the need for a new Boiler - you can always get a quote(s) to verify to potential purchasers.
  21. Intersting you say that as although I have the fibre optic infinity streaming vids/TV does lead to bouts of buffering that I had hoped the FO would overcome. Current speed is: Download35.7Mb Upload5.59Mb
  22. But so many current 3/5 door hatches look as though they have come out of the same mould and then dressed a little differently
