  1. Don't worry that won't last much longer, ...the way parello's Zeditus is. Be lowered on bags with stretch tyres & goodness know's what else my March at the latest is my guess.
  2. Grundy is certainly a potentially good source for parts for anyone thinking of doing the same Seriously that is awesome Matt - do the 6 'pots' get used for the next round of cans/bottles then
  3. As the A45 AMG's don't have clutches you would be fine More seriously, the seat adjustment and the column adjustment both up and own and in and out means it is very easy, even for me at 6' 2", to find a comfy driving position.
  4. The roof wrap was something I had been very tempted to do with the gloss black and so glad you finally ticked that box for me But now I've got a genuine panoramic roof with the A45
  5. Still running it in at the mo, but the grip is insane and I thought the 370 with the MPSS on was good, but this is another league and on Continentals of some description. Might take me 12 months to understand all the info you can access though but can't wait to test out the launch control...and no limit on the number of times you can use it - apart from the hit on the wallet for new tyres . Oh the car won't let you if the oil, water and gearbox fluid are not up to temp. Taking a bit to get use to the headlight and wiper controls on a single stalk and with the cruise control on another stalk just underneath as well as flicking the downshift paddle - all on the left hand side and then there is the control for the Comand on the tunnel so my left hand is still kept very busy even though there is no gearlever But I like a challenge and the 's are well and truly back.
  6. Well, after GUNS found a new home with parello9, me having decided for various reasons that something with 4 seats and a hatch was necessary and having toyed with the idea of an M135i or a Golf R or GTi, I got the OK to go for something that I had had an itch to scratch, having being impressed by the kit.......if not the price. But then saw a 3 month old s/h one with just 70 miles on the clock effectively saving me some £5k on list and with most of the the options I was after and in the right colour - yes it had to be white again In fact I bought GUNs in similar circumstances! I had been hoping Nissan would have confirmed the Nissan Pulsar R Concept as a an actual goer, but with nothing forthcoming Here she is: I have always had high regard for Evo reviews and this one helped to plant the seed for me (if anyone is interested in the detail): http://www.evo.co.uk..._and_specs.html But having the most powerful 2litre petrol engine using a twin scroll T/C - 360bhp/450Nm torque; permanent 4WD, a 0-60 time of 4.6 (4.3 with the launch control ) and a whole host of gizmo's I have only just begun to uncover I decided that I could live with the 7-speed auto especially after a test drive - in sport mode it pops and bangs on the upshifts as well as matching the revs on the downshifts Something I learnt when I asked and got a rather strange look from the salesman is that AMG never use manual boxes It is a completely different drive to the 370 but then I was ready for something different after 9 years of ZED ownership - and I have to say that has been the best 9 years driving experience in my near on 50 year driving career. Anyways, I'll shut up now and post some more pics: Arundel Cathedral in case you were wondering. Like the AMG idea of one man builds the engine and in my case it was Florian - still trying to find out more about him! In fact it has two steering wheels (Just me playing about using the sd card slot on the Comand system - new that is a £2.3k option ) Some neat touches with the illuminated sills and usual German red warning lights in the case of the boot doubling up as a courtesy light too. Having picked it up on 2nd Jan and today was the first chance I got to give it a good clean and went out to Arundel in the sun to take some pics and bugger me the sun went in So, tear me to pieces now but at least I know when I meet up with life-long friends I have met on here with their Zeds I will stand a chance of keeping up.........I hope
  7. Signed - thanks for drawing this to our attention. And having just moved to a location where we can hear racing on the local track - nothing like race engines at full chat
  8. The poor horse, and then having to show his shiny bit too
  9. Winter tyres, engine over the driven wheels, largely fresh snow minimising ice, piece of cake I'd say
  10. No wonder Insurance companies do very nicely Sorry Annie, but that is like pouring money down the drain...... I hope you don't have other similar insurance policies - just have those you must have - which are car and house for me and as you suggest, keep a sinking fund for the unexpected.
  11. Move over Ricciardo, Daryl needs a pit stop.... Well you would expect that when you work for RB, eh
  12. NO, do as Tricky Ricky says - 10w40 - basically it stays thicker than 5w40 when the engine gets hot and less likely to get burnt away
  13. Normally kept with the 4 wheels nuts that been replaced by the locking nuts. Just look in all your cubby holes and in the boot and as said above, having first checked it is the one that fits your (wheel ) nuts.
  14. I've been advised before that it's best to get at least two of the alloys done as it's virtually impossible to get an exact match with the dark colour Rays. A slight mismatch between the alloys from one side to the other will not be noticeable wheras a mismatch between the two wheels on one side will be - hence its best to have two done on the same side. A company called Lepsons gets good reviews. As for the paint, I've done a lot of my own research pending getting my bumper scratch repaired. A good painter should be able to do a repair that isn't detectable to the naked eye by blending the repaired area with the surrounding area etc. Pearls are supposedly harder to match, which is why you need to use a body shop with a very good rep. Like you I won't be happy unless the repair is invisible (although bear in mind that there is always a mismatch between bumper and body anyway due to the way paint sits on plastic and metal). Yet to see a perfect 370 OEM wheel refurb colour match so as - Sipar says ^^^ but in my case I decided to all 4 done and asked that they match the satin alloy on the handles etc - pleased with what they did (powder coated btw). And noting Sipar mentioned TGM in his previous post as regards the pearl white match, when I enquired about having the stone chips on the front bumper and bonnet done, Billy at TGM said as happy as would be to take my money he strongly advised to have the front blended and onto the front wings as the pearl sparkle does vary from car to car and on each car and helps to avoid any obvious change at panel lines and in my case said the chips were relatively minor and I should save my money! You might like to pm Will370z who has had work done at TGM..... Not saying that is where you should go just passing on info obtained from one of the rare places I would entrusted my 370 to be painted.
  15. Rather than hijacking the thread Fodder with your own question - best if you start a new topic in the off topic discussion forum - I've removed your post but pm me if you want a copy. Oh, and moved this thread from 350 General.
  16. Sorry to see that - hope it is all limited to what your pics show, but it's what has been damaged that is out of sight ( if anything of note) that can be a question mark. Admire your cool in the circumstances - let's hope it is sorted to your satisfaction asap.
  17. Think we can safely say she is not a petrolhead
  18. As you are buying and not selling have moved from the for sale section.
  19. Good to see a newbie taking on board the PB advice (or you use other picture hosting sites) and also managed to achieve a smilie in your topic, something that is rare to see. A good start and welcome, with a cracking looking Sunset!
