Thoughts wanted - 2007 Ford Mustang GT

I was in California for a couple of weeks last year, the rental I got was a convertible Chevy Camaro which was amazing, but, every time I saw a Mustang I was engulfed by jealous rage!! Always wanted one, I bet it's the kind of car that puts a smile on your face when you walk up to it and an even bigger one when you fire it up!

I was sorely tempted by one back in 2010.

I test drove a Rousch tuned 2007. Loved the looks and the sound. But the ride is horrendous, corners like a Bus, and the interior trim just isn't up to scratch in quality or looks.

In the end I went for the VXR8 to fill my V8 need.

Nice car...see if you can find the Top Gear test they did on one on YouTube.

Was this the 1 on the latest series?

I like B)

much better than the 300c you were thinking about imo

Yeah I agree, thanks for remembering :)

Ok, I just won't bother test driving it then ;) I can't get insured on a VXR8!

Provided you don't suffer with a bad back then you will be fine.

I am a relatively young man, so as long as my moobs don't get any bigger I'll be ok,

I've always wanted a Mustang, bus handling or otherwise!

Regarding that advert, light damage mentioned could be a way of saying it's a Cat D without saying it's a Cat D, but a quick check will discover that.

i owned a conv one a while back, was a nice car to drive. head looker etc. With leather was comfy, even if the dash was a bit tacky feel. Still a good car

However when u try to sell it be prepared for a major shock!!

Ours was the cheapest in the UK Like for like

We had our in for 15k and ended up taking 11k

Hardest car ever to resell

My missus dad has an 05 gt mustang auto. Not the best handling but a great sound and good for distance cruising. They do have an X factor IMO dont know why but I find myself drawn to them. The rousch Eleanor dominator is an evil piece of engineering.

LHD really isn't a problem, certainly no worse than RHD when you drive across the water :) Often makes overtaking easier in some places too.

I don't think there's anything more I or anyone else could add to this thread really. We all know the pros and cons of a Mustang, and you know what you're getting when you buy one. Only other things to consider are parts, which are scarily well priced and easily available due to the fondness we have over here for the 'Stangs, and how easy they are to work on. I'd still want to find a specialist near me though, just in case.

Thanks for all your input guys. Ekona appears to have called time on this thread, so I'll report back if successful!

Noooo sorry, I didn't mean it like that!

What I really meant more was that everyone has stated everything obvious that I could possibly say about the car, so I had nothing else to add about the car itself. Please don't stop talking about this on my account, I've got a terrible head cold at the moment so my meaning is all over the place :(

Good luck dude, I wish I had the balls to buy something like that.
