Cheers - never thought about a civic. Not sure how comfortable a swift would be as motorway car ? Was 4 hours in car yesterday and that’s pretty normal
With work I do pretty big miles - 10k in last 3 months. Not wanting to pile on the miles to the pending 370
So plan is to find something relatively cheap but reliable and comfortable for long drives.
Any suggestions? Roughly £5k budget
Hello all
been a few years but with company car going back my man maths tell me I can run a zed as a daily with my bic savings :-)
Have had 2 previous Zeds but it’s been 5 years so what’s new ? Who is still about from the old days ?
To be honest its tempting as in last few months car has had a P3, brakes done all round, clutch and flywheel and all fluids done seems a bit mad selling now lol
Had this done yesterday mainly to help car sell without any problems as I thought all was ok but have to say what a difference !!!
I was hoping to get away with just doing the clutch but flywheel was pretty badly burnt and had a good bit of play in it.
Interesting thing was the amount of dust it was full of it and packed into the rivet holes of clutch plate also looks like someone had been in before (prior to 9000 miles as I have all invoices and paperwork after this) as one of the bolts was only finger tight and somerhing (cant remember what mechanic called it) with an arrow on it ? was facing wrong way.
So either came that way from factory or clutch was replaced pre 9000 miles !
I had choice of the Ford Kuga or this for my compamy car and after testing both the Kuga was actually a better drive, the Tiguan was a better looking cat though I thought
My cars previous owner kept every recipt and invoice. He owned car for almost 5 years ( 30,000 miles) and spent £3500 in servicing and repairs. This was all main dealer prices.
