  1. just got a email, and now its fixed amazing IT on a Sunday eh or whats happened, is someone has made a mistake hit cancel, and now they have made a new one up. I know this because my "fixed" Certificate has 2 errors 1) started at midnight last night 2) spelt my name as Stewart and not Stuart like my original just need to try get my car fixed first
  2. Since i have a carbon fibre rear diffuser, when i got my quote for repairs on my car (from their approved company) the guy took photos of the whole car (not just damage). But when i originally phoned them up, asking why the charge for mods, they were saying since i have a dual exhaust it was non-standard, as my 350z should have a single exhaust! Very unique car mines must be! happy as its sorted (for now)
  3. Phoned them up today, and my policy is not cancelled. The online portal system is showing it is, and is a technical glitch? So i got the guys name (kind of) mike <insert 13 other letters here> and took details of time of call and stuff. Their technical support team are looking into why this is coming up as cancelled. But i'm fully insured, thank god for that
  4. Not that I'm aware off, got a local garage to look it over when I purchased it, and asked if there was any mods. Other than the induction kit mentioned by them (which I removed as it was a generic one) so declared the spoiler and valance which I added.
  5. My neighbours roof tile has fell off, back in December and damaged the bonnet and wing. This has happened 4 times to different cars. I've taken him to court before to get my car repaired. I tried this approach with him, and he's not interested. His home insurance has said he's not liable as he's not neglected his roof as he gets it repaired. He only gets it repaired when it damages my car in my driveway, and considering the extension has been up for 4 years and damaged cars 4 times, means his roof clearly has problems. So since I have free legal cover, I phoned my insurance to see if they will help me take him to court or to chase his home insurance about this, they seemed helpful. So I sent them all the photos I have of the loose tiles and stuff about the incident. I had to go to a approved repairer to get estimates. When I was getting this free estimate I noticed the guy took photos of the whole car, odd for frontal damage I thought at the time. The other day I got a email from my insurance saying about changes I have made to my policy and I was due them £80, I was puzzled about this and phoned them asking about this. They said its for me not declaring my modified exhaust so they have added it to my policy. So after debating that it was not modified (which it's not) the guy said ok, they would not charge me the fee and end of story. So out of curiosity I decided to see if they did add this to my documents or not, needless to find out they have cancelled my policy!! As I pay for my insurance upfront (paid full amount 19 days ago) I'm fuming as I've paid for insurance for 10 months got less than a month, and now am driving around uninsured it seems. They have not officially told me it's been cancelled, but have no documents online anymore!! I'm still on askmid so have no idea what's happening. Not sure if I can drive or not, who knows!! Surely they should inform me of cancelling my policy and a reason! Not just do it!! Any idea's on suggestions on what to do now

  9. Checked this thread as hoping u had the same problem. Mines is more of a creaking noise!! Doing my nut in, manly sounding car but squeeks like hell!! Hope u get it sorted
  10. Just purchased a odour bomb and will get some vinegar later on when i hit the shops. I look extremely cool when i'm driving in the rain with windows down
  11. Fairly sure thats a code for a duff O2 sensor in your cat/exhaust. Might be messing up your air/fuel ratio making it run rough. I got the above sensor about 6 months ago, reset it with the computer and never showed up again. Ofc i didnt have any symptoms tho
  12. Astra Mk4 (general standard ones) just a awful car, when the ford came out with the focus the astra was a terrible car to start with. Not to mention the ones with black bumpers (AKA Not colour coded)
  13. Was going for a wee drive the other day, where i decided to stop at the fishmongers for some fish (well Duh). So i drove home and eat the fish like its main purpose. Now my car stinks of fish! The bag was not leaking or anything, just my car has a horrible odour. I've hoovered the carpets, cleaned the leather, and aired the car. Once closing up i've even soaked the car with odourcon10 everywhere, on the leather seats, headlining dash! And it still stinks!!! ARGGGGHHH Any tips? Now their is 3 things in life that smell like fish!
  14. Oddly enough not my cup of tea (personally) but i like it (if that makes sense) Very Unique
  15. I was with admiral for last year. Last years price was £450 for the year then when my renewal price came through it was £800, that was my not declaring my spoiler i just put on etc as it was running out. When i phoned them, they couldnt give me an answer how i have a years NCB and its almost twice the price. Best bit was when she said " i take it you dont want to renew"!!! So i ended up going with elephant (same company) and declaring my mods and happy when it was £463!!! Seriously what a rip off, i'm assuming they just hope people dont pay attention and renew.
  16. From experience what brands of aftermarket wheels are pretty strong and durable. Reason i'm asking is on previous cars had brands like wolfrace, which ended up buckled very easily with the roads around here, same with cant remmeber the name on my astra coupe, ended up going back to the original oem wheels as it was so uncomfy on the roads. Had BBS on my beemer and i thought those were decent too. And OZ on my mates 888 Astra I have rays on my summer set of wheels the now, and assuming those are quality as they seem as sturdy as my standard 350z wheels (which i have on my winter set) Looking to buy a set for relative but want a decent quality. Cheers
  17. I love the parking space on the with the black golf. the parking lines well on the kerbs!
  18. Sorry but the image looks like your gentleman's sausage after a bad weekend in magaluf
  19. Had the exact same problem. Was heading to work when a old dear in her mobility scooter undertook me, I dropped down a gear tried.to get in her slip stream, just couldn't get near, she kept giving me the bird!, so sneaked into the garage filled my car up and went to local field and set it on fire. F**k u Agnes!! It's not over!!
  20. If the price is right, then maybe worth important. Not suggesting anything but sometimes a higher mileage car might be better condition than a lower one, hence cheaper price and easier to sell as lower mileage. I know its not big and not clever but my old neighbour used to adjust BMW 5's all the time as interior etc never did look its true age.

    Creak

Car just passed its MOT the other week However noticed the last few days having a creaking noise from the passenger front wheel. It creaks over bumps and creeks when turning to that side? I jacked the car up a bit so that wheel is off the ground and creak goes away? Any suggestions to what it might be?
  22. Morgs has put forward two people already only have one key left. Will keep you in mind, sorry
