It’s not that there’s Gregg’s everywhere, it’s the population density per Greggs! https://thetab.com/uk/2017/08/02/weve-figured-exactly-north-plotting-every-single-greggs-store-map-44385 Quote
shaunRS Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Any thing south of Gateshead is France. Newcastle up to Scotland is the real north lol Quote
docwra Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Huddersfield and Preston are in the South? Quote
Jay84 Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Cov-Stoke midlands...But here (in the midalnds) we also have East Midlands, which for some reason is Derby to the Coast. This leaves a tiny bit to split between us and Wales. Quote
Jay84 Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Anyone who is southern, to me pronounces nuts as nats, or not with a hard u (like a grunt) sound. Quote

rabbitstew Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Ive got to drive to Newcastle & back on Friday. 4 hour`s each way for me. Pretty sure thats up north somewhere. Quote
Lurch Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 I have to say I grew up in Yorkshire and live in Scotland. Anywhere past south yorkshire is the south. Anywhere north of that is the north. Having said that that it can be measured different ways as has been suggested. Population density has it in snareston. People per gregs has it on some weird line and actual distance has it at Leeds. Quote
Rock_Steady Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 Lincoln is without question in the North. And only people in London pronounce "nuts" as "nats" or "house" as "ass" 1 Quote

The weather simply isn't bad enough there to call it 'North', they get sunshine for goodness' sake! Edited January 3, 2018 by Toon Chris 2 Quote
Silkygun Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 Lincoln isn't North or South, it's just a blurry area that no one really knows exists! 1 Quote
Whitevanman Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 Lincoln is on the east midlands border and shares a lot of other towns post codes as well like ng(notts) pe(peterboro) dn(Doncaster). as well as the ln(Lincoln) postcode. so Lincoln isn't north or south we are definitely in the east, so either east midlands or east coast.... that's how I see it anyway.... Ekona Posted January 3, 2018 Author Posted January 3, 2018 Lincoln, east?! Lowestoft is east, Ipswich is east, Lincoln is firmly in the north my friend as you’re practically level with Sheffield! Quote
ATTAK Z Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 @Ekona sort tha sen art Dan 1) Lincolnshire stretches from the North (the River Humber) to the South (Cambridgeshire) and is therefore clearly Midlands 2) Lincolnshire coast is longer than Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Kent combined that makes it East Midlands P.S. I may have lied in point 2 Quote
Whitevanman Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 Sheffield is over an hours drive from Lincoln travelling north west, Yorkshire is the true start to the north granted and parts of north Lincolnshire would be classed as the north but Lincoln itself is not in the north. Quote
