  1. It is a steering lock stop.
  2. If like you say money was no object, then OEM all day long.
  3. You will get the shims from the same place as you bought the pads: CMS. You probably had no issues before, because the old pads and rotors would have been fitted properly. Correct, DS2500 do not come with anti-squeal shims.
  4. Ryan, What docwra has said ^^^^ But you already know that as I have spent considerable time answering your PMs, which you appear to have ignored. Copy of my last PM below: Ryan, I am basing my reply on that you have also replaced the discs. Firstly, I am assuming that you do not have a slight wheel balance issue at 70mph and that the brake application is not highlighting the vibes. I am aware what it states on the box but I have fitted hundreds of DS2500 pads to road cars and had no issues, except some complaints about brake dust. When fitting new brake discs, then all faces including the hub, both sides of the disc and the inside face of the wheel must be spotless and true. If this is not meticulously carried out then DTV will develop causing brake vibrations. No amount of bedding in will cure DTV. If all the above is good then I would bed in again, see guide below. Regarding brake squeal, again the caliper housing which holds the pads must be spotless. The pistons must all be free and the upper and lower sliders must be in good shape. Anti-squeal shims must be fitted to all pads. Finally, a good quality anti-squeal copa slip greaze must be applied to the rear of the pads. As I said previously, this is certainly a fitment issue.
  5. As I have previously said, just top and tail the pad and it will fit. And get those slider plates cleaned up.
  6. Just make sure that the pistons are fully back and that the sliders are clean. If still tight, then you may have to top and tail.
  7. Have you tried a Google search? https://www.google.co.uk/search?ei=CDsQW93KEMzBgAa23KjACw&q=www.350z-uk.com+%2B+heat+wrap&oq=www.350z-uk.com+%2B+heat+wrap&gs_l=psy-ab.12...36891.47166.0.49302.5.4.1.0.0.0.143.392.3j1.4.0....0...1c.1.64.psy-ab..0.1.143...35i39k1.0.j6VkF6OqTcE
  8. You have already posted up about this issue on Tuesday. Have you checked that the fans are coming on. You will now also have air in the system so you will require to bleed that out.
  9. Yes, DE plenums are in stock and good to go same/next day. Just drop me a PM if I can help further. Alex.
  10. Could be a damaged ribbon on the air con control module. Plenty in stock if required. Just drop me a PM if I can help further. Alex.
  11. Simples, just tell the seller that you have a maximum budget of 5K. and ask if he has enough wiggle room to do a deal. Tell him that you live a considerable distance away and that you don't want to waste your time. Worst that he can do is tell you to do one. The warranty is useless as it will only cover the engine and box for mechanical failure and will exclude wear and tear. There will also be a maximum payout per claim and a max in total, which will not be much. Mixed brands of tyres is never good. It is a 15 year old car so buyer beware.
  12. Yes, it is very possible and I also have a pre-owned non-res in stock at the moment.
  13. to the forum. It looks like 5k to me, however, it appears to have been well looked after. How does it drive? What warranty is the dealer offering? How many previous owners? Service History? Tyres? Yes, the seat button configuration is correct for the model.
  14. I am very surprised that you accepted the job and paid for it. Did you not check it before you handed over your hard earned? Unfortunately, you really do have to give him a chance to right his wrongs I am afraid. However, if you have not paid for it then you can certainly argue the bill.
