  1. I've ordered from and received great service from Zmanalex and Clarke Motorsport in the past. They know their zeds and will have the stuff you need
  2. If you plan on keeping the zed for the long term I'd say go ahead. I've probably lost near £24k on my zed if I sold it today, but looking back wouldn't have changed my decision. Paid £30k back in 05 for my zed but after 13 years the depreciation has slowed right down. I took a big hit originally but have had a car without any bad surprises due to unknown history that brings a smile to my face daily. If I was planning on changing after a couple of years I'd probably go 2nd hand rather than finance a new one, as a £20k hit in 3 yrs sounds much worse than my £24k in 13! At the end of the day, different strokes for different blokes. I know people that'd happily spend thousands every year on holidays but would consider buying a new car bonkers as you lose on depreciation and vice versa.
  3. I found this happened to me many moons ago. With mine the cause was the dealership taking off the cluster too harshly. When you pull them out you got to resist temptation to yank one side to much which will cause them to flex and break the seal. So carefully does it Maybe mine are just unusually tight, but I got the same problem with my upgraded led clusters too!
  4. Car is looking mental. I reckon your rear is gonna get more likes than Kim Kardashian's
  5. Hope it's not too expensive to fix. Did you still manage to enjoy the group drive out today though?
  6. Have a good trip guys and post up lots of pics. I'll be thinking of the fun I'm missing while I do the Mother's Day malarkey
  7. The zed is looking mighty fine. Azure blue comes out the best in photos I reckon. I ordered blue originally but switched to sunset orange last minute........often wished I had stuck with blue.
  8. This one is for you Stu. The other half of Will Smith. The one and only DJ Jazzy Jeff treating us to a 2 hour selection of his choice tunes spanning the decades. As a kid I actually thought Will Smith was called "DJ Jazzy Jeff" as I'm sure did many others leading him to choose the title "He's the DJ and I'm the rapper" on one of their albums Nice to see him still pleasing the crowd with his skills and knowledgeable selection of tunes new and old
  9. Glad to see another sunset orange. Photos never do the colour justice...... especially at night when lit under lights
  10. Ooops. My bad. But Panasonic are selling their 40-43 inch versions for £299-£350 too
  11. Panasonic are selling refurbished 50" tvs for £399 with 12 month warranty https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Panasonic-TX-50EX700B-50-Inch-SMART-4K-Ultra-HD-HDR-LED-TV-Freeview-Play-USB-Rec/202244537708?_mwBanner=1&ul_ref=https%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F0%2F0%2F0%3Fmpre%3Dhttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F202244537708%26rvr_id%3D0&ul_noapp=true&epid=238421223
  12. Don't forget to ask them not to wash or wax it. They'll often use a rushed overworked and underskilled guy who'll be using the same sponge to do all their cars bodywork AND wheels rubbing dirt off and into your new paint. Then buffing wax off it with a cloth that he's probably dropped a few times or just left on the floor while he's not using it
  13. The advice I was given was not to rag it for the first 1k. Avoid driving at a constant rev ie just going on a long motorway journey but keep a varied driving condition. I was told you don't need to change the oil at 1k but I can't see any harm. Congratulations on your Nismo and be sure to post up pics
  14. I hear you Rock_Steady and thanks for the heads up on ILL AL SCRATCH...... totally forgot about them and their hypnotic melodies As it goes "Hey you" from THE ROCK STEADY CREW was the very first 12" I ever bought as a young teenager Any connections with your username perhaps? Here's my favourite remix of Craig Mack wit LL, Biggy and Busta LL seems a bit weak lyrically compared to the others in the video but by God does his lady make up for it with her Fineness!
  15. Just had to share this instrumental mix. Covers the essence of all I love about the 80s and 90s flavour. Bonus is the absence of profanity means I can play it in the presence of my kids too
  16. Even under a dusting of snow the Nismo is looking good. My zed has been put away this week while I use our Kia Sportage. I've had to be pushed up a snowy hill once already by some friends as the zed just couldn't cope!
  17. I've had my 05 manual from new and it's still fine with changing gears. I wouldn't say you have to push hard at all. I'd say something is amiss. Whether it's a big or small problem I don't know but this is not common to all zeds.
  18. 2 light coats of the Matt finisher/sealer applied and dried and the finish now blends into the surrounding perfectly. The Flat Black from Angelus is a perfect match for the zed black leather. The amount of gloss/sheen from the top coat sealer can be dulled further with the addition of Angelus Duller mixed in with the Matt Acrylic Finisher. If my seats were new and more matt I think the Duller would be required but on 13 yrs old seats the Matt Acrylic Finisher is just right.
  19. Welcome to the OC. Totally agree, the graphite wheels are looking very smart
  20. I feel your pain. All it takes is the constant barrage of "can you just....." or "have you just got an extra couple minutes to...." from 20 or so people at work and I'm running over an hour behind! Then I'll get very short with some poor innocent soul who's only crime was to politely ask "While I'm here, could you just....."
  21. I remember when my brake light switch under the pedal was faulty, the ABS and TCS lights stayed on. If you depress the brake pedal and the brake lights don't work properly, that'd be a clear sign
  22. Following on from the lazy quick fix above which will leave you with black hands I purchased some leather acrylic paint from Angelus after watching numerous YouTube videos of how people use it to repair trainers and handbags. Cost about a fiver each and £2.50 p&p. They recommend a deglazer first, but it's just acetone which is basically nail polish remover! My Zeds side bolster has started to show wear after 13 years of being my daily despite climbing in and out carefully to prevent excessive rubbing. The seat base also showing wear at the seam. So yesterday I gave the seats a good scrub with Dr Leather wipes, then a wipe with a damp towel. Today I gave a light scrub with a cotton bud dipped in acetone to the affected areas. After 3 light coats of the FLAT BLACK paint from Angelus.... I have to let this dry and put the top coat sealer tomorrow. I'll be using the MATT ACRYLIC FINISHER. I'll update when it's done, but so far I'm pretty chuffed for the small price paid.
