  1. Those sit perfect on your zed. Amazing how they transform the look of the car so much
  2. My car was dwarfed by Luke's Veilside offering at today's Supercars of the NW meet.
  3. As we were chatting about getting black paint better without a machine today at the Supercars NW meet I thought I'd post up a video of Soft99 Scratch Clear Wax used by me on a friend's car that drove into shrubs whilst avoiding a collision. All done by hand after just a wash, just rubbing the product into the paint with a microfiber cloth until almost clear and then a final buff. Left door untouched. Right door done.
  4. +1 thanks to Dillydot 82 and Spatt aka Kat and Matt for getting us together to this one. Weather was great. Cars were great. Weather was great (for once) And the company was fantastic.
  5. I used to think the Range Rover had road presence......but that Mustang looks like a beast. A friend of mine has a stage 3 tuned R35 as a weekend toy and just bought a new white Mustang convertible a few months back as his DAILY He's loving it too. So much so, the gtr is staying at home tomorrow and he's taking the Mustang to the Supercars NW meet instead!
  6. Don't forget clocks go forward tonight guys or you'll be at Subway an hour late
  7. I'll pop my Works Hydroshot portable pressure washer in my boot along with a spare battery. If circumstances permit at Subway or somewhere before we arrive, I could jet maybe a dozen sets of rims. If your rims have a fresh coat of wax/sealant, I'll be able to jet off any brake dust you accumulate en route with a touchless rinse. Only thing is I can't carry that much water in my boot So if you bring 2 X 2 litre bottles of water I'll gladly rinse your rims if there's a chance
  8. Interesting video. Thanks for sharing
  9. I'm sure I remember years ago there was a member who returned a set of LMGT4s and chose colour combinations that very closely resembled the OEM polished lips and centre sections but was some hyperchrome/hypersilver paint instead for durability. I have hunted for the thread in the past to no avail. I may even start a thread to see if anyone remembers, but all I remember is that they looked really good!
  10. My LMGT4s when box fresh. How can you not feel the love for the original diamond cut lips and centres!
  11. Congratulations JB33 on deciding on a new zed. As long as it's within budget and it's something that will bring long lasting joy, you've made the right decision. My zed was the first new car I ever bought when I was 34. There is something extra special in getting a brand new car and knowing the history 100%. Buying new is only a mugs game if not in budget, meaning you're struggling to balance your budget at the end of the year. You know pics are mandatory on arrival!
  12. A nice set of Nismo decals would really transform the look. A mandatory addition in my opinion
  13. My bad......I was lazy and just read the last post above But a zed would definitely be on my list as a keeper. Back in 05 I was contemplating a BMW 330i instead of the zed. There'd be no way I'd still be as smitten with an 05 BMW 330i after 13 years. Something timeless with Zeds in my opinion. May not be the pinnacle drivingachine in their category bit definitely something special and unique. For that reason the OP should buy it and post up a pic of him sitting in his new zed smiling from ear to ear
  14. Congratulations on the zed and finding the OC. Pics of the zed are mandatory or we won't believe you Never tire of seeing a new zed coming to the OC
  15. I'd like to see pics of it at night under lighting as I reckon the wheels and decals would be "on fire" at night! Such a big difference just between the first and second pics taken in daylight. Are there any metallic flecks in the strips along the Zeds flanks?
  16. Lovely car and rims. The designers definitely did a good job on those forged rims!
  17. I've ordered from and received great service from Zmanalex and Clarke Motorsport in the past. They know their zeds and will have the stuff you need
  18. If you plan on keeping the zed for the long term I'd say go ahead. I've probably lost near £24k on my zed if I sold it today, but looking back wouldn't have changed my decision. Paid £30k back in 05 for my zed but after 13 years the depreciation has slowed right down. I took a big hit originally but have had a car without any bad surprises due to unknown history that brings a smile to my face daily. If I was planning on changing after a couple of years I'd probably go 2nd hand rather than finance a new one, as a £20k hit in 3 yrs sounds much worse than my £24k in 13! At the end of the day, different strokes for different blokes. I know people that'd happily spend thousands every year on holidays but would consider buying a new car bonkers as you lose on depreciation and vice versa.
  19. I found this happened to me many moons ago. With mine the cause was the dealership taking off the cluster too harshly. When you pull them out you got to resist temptation to yank one side to much which will cause them to flex and break the seal. So carefully does it Maybe mine are just unusually tight, but I got the same problem with my upgraded led clusters too!
