keithvmx1200 Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I wondered if the 2007 350Z HR has a higher top speed than earlier models.I know it red lines at 7500 instead of 7000 and its speedometer goes up to 180mph instead of 160mph. I guess if anyone says they have seen the top speed of their car on a uk road they leave themselves open to prosecution and jail so tell me it was on track or in Germany or other.LOL Quote
AliveBoy Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) I seem to recall both were limited to 160, a remap would remove that, not tested either, so I don't know for sure Edited April 28, 2014 by AliveBoy Quote
Keyser Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 An UpRev can remove the 155mph limiter and you can get above it - I can but I ain't exactly standard and you need a big airfield to have a long enough straight to get over 150 anyway! Quote
StevoD Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I recall BM saying he got 175mph on the gps on zee autobahn a few years back Quote
The Chubby Ninja Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) I've had 165 and it was still climbing fast but backed off but mine isn't exactly standard either. Oh and I have an 04 DE and the speedo goes to 180 Edited April 28, 2014 by The Chubby Ninja Quote
keithvmx1200 Posted April 28, 2014 Author Posted April 28, 2014 Re the 160-180 speedometer. I was going by the one's I saw on YouTube. I have just put mine on YouTube even though I am not able to drive it at the moment. 1 Quote
GMballistic Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I'm sure I read somewhere that the gearbox 6th gear ratio will see 176mph+ given a long enough road, de-limited and probably with the wind behind you going down hill. 03 DE Zed here and my speedo reads to 180mph. Quote
Ian Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 A million mph. Fastest car on the planet innit 2 Quote

Exotic Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 168 mph in Europe a couple of years ago on the longest flattest road you'd ever see. Still have it tripped in my Sat NAV, was still pulling but I chickened out (shame as had loads more clear road for about 10 miles!) 1 Quote

Best get back out there an at least get another 2mph lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Darren-B Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I've seen the needle past 180 on both the 350 & 370 Quote
rtbiscuit Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Needle can be very off the mark at those speeds, best to judge with GPS for most accurate speed. Quote
BulletMagnet Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 TBH if it peaks your interest, just pop over to Germany and try it out, no point in popping down the pub and claiming a speed that you haven't experienced yourself Quote
Scully Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Just this Sunday I topped out in my HR, electronically limited at 160, the needle was half way between 160 & 165. I was in 5th and I was quite a shock when I reached the limiter, I thought something had gone wrong it was that noticable. Then looked down and realised that must be it. All this on a test track Quote
Ekona Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Revup ragtop is dead after 135mph. Tested on Dottinger Hohe, June 2010. Quote
BulletMagnet Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) It's Döttinger Höhe Edited April 28, 2014 by BulletMagnet Quote
