  1. This is just a reference post for anyone, it may be useful to someone. First of all excuse any dirt, this isn't a show and shine post 🤙 So I started with slight curb rash on 1 alloy, just on the very rim and not into any paint. I took the wheel to Whoopsie Wheel Fix It in Enfield who were great. It was explained that in an ideal scenario they would just cut the damage out, key back the whole wheel and lacquer it all. The problems come with the heat from baking the OEM lacquer, as the OEM clear might not be able to handle heat again after the factory and can discolour, turning yellow slightly, in turn un-matching the colour from the other 3 wheels. In which case they would need to repaint 2 wheels (same side at least) to keep the wheels matching. This is where the problem is... Paint Codes There are none anywhere, I even asked Nissan and they "Do not have paint codes for alloys". I did find one post on another site saying that a Volvo paint was 98% a match but there were no pictures, so I ordered a touch up pen from Volvo to test. Whilst waiting for the paint, Whoopsie got in touch and said that the alloy took the extra bake and is ready to pick up! WIN So if its just the rim you are repairing, you can probably get away with just cutting and clear 👍 After the refurb... a bit dusty sorry. Now to the Volvo paint - it's Savile Grey 492 I painted a plane part of the box and cleared it, just so I could compare it to the Nissan paint and here's the comparison. IMO it's such a close match that not even the top Nismo fanBOi would be able to tell. If you zoom in you can see that the Volvo metallic flakes are quite a bit bigger making it more sparkly. If I had to repaint I'd be more than happy, whether its possible to ask for smaller flakes is for someone else to discover. Also keep in mind different batches of the same paint can differ slightly, mines an 18 plate for reference. TLDR Your alloys can probably take the heat of another visit to an oven if just cutting damage out and clear coating. Volvo 492 paint match's the Nismo Mk2's alloy's paint. Whoopsie Wheel Fix It are spot on and very active on Instagram, check them out - £80+VAT a wheel for cutting and clear.
  2. I bought these last week from another member and they are in excellent condition. I've decided to take a different route with my car. 6 months old and still very polished! Although these are Nismo fitment I don't see why they wouldn't fit a non Nismo bumper as the tips can be adjusted. Based just out of Bedford £350 + postage
  3. This is a strange one, maybe someone has come across similar before. The alternator doesn't provide a charging voltage unless there is a high electrical load on the car i.e headlights. At idle or higher rpm - no charging at all With headlights on - constant 14.4 charging voltage throughout rpm range. So the actual alternator works but with regards to the regulator, I didn't think it could just not provide a voltage at all. My understanding is that the diodes in the regulator just maintain the upper limit for voltage output. What are your thoughts? Just to add, all grounds tested ok, no fault lights even when not charging (unplugging the sense wire DOES provide a fault message)

I'm not so sure, I think it suits the style of the video with just the music. Makes it less a hooning video and more 'arty'. Either way it would have been good

Don't know if any of you guys follow this channel but this video just went up 40mins ago and I was in a trance watching it!
  14. Manage to sort this Olly? After my track day yesterday I'm considering the 70's brakes.
  15. Turns out it was an earth fault which was sorted by Sly 👠Anyone recognise that beast in the air...
  16. Starter changed and exactly the same... Been reading a few people with cam position sensors at fault but they all have relevant code up.
  17. Clutch pedal switch is fine. Also had a suggestion that the BCM may have failed, that will be next on my list
  18. Are you sure, my brand new battery wasn't putting out that much from the shop But any, with all my tinkering somehow there is now 12v through the signal cable on start, and it turned very slowly. So I'm going to go ahead and change the starter and see what happens....
  19. Yeah there's fuel, I have a feeling I'm going to have to get some wiring diagrams and work my way through
