So all you haters dislike the BMW M cars? :scare:

All fords bar the gt40. Could go on.

Mustang, EsCos, RS500, Granada Coupe, MkI/MkII Escort RS's, Lotus Cortina, Capri 3.0S .......... theres loads! :p

Yes even the M cars because even though they are A-Mazing drivers cars you still cannot help but look at one and think 'you utter, utter turdwit'.

Fords.........all awesome listed above. Reminds me of a more joyful time!

Can you explain to me why you would think that of someone simply because of the car they drive! I'm not suggesting that this applies to you Ricey, but folk who make comments like that come across worse than the people they are describing. Also could you give me a few examples of BMW drivers upsetting you?

Not a single one.....but I remember when I had a Z4 and I would leave the house in a morning and think 'if I put the roof down will people spit on me?.......you turdwit'.

Cars generate opinion and stereotype which is a fact. As for BMW's.......they're all just so .....well 'meh'.

Chrysler crossfire, I'd rather fall down the stairs than be anywhere near one

Too true, hateful things.

Can't believe all the hate for the M cars, you obviously haven't driven one properly as they are far from crap.

I don't think it's the M car that's the problem... it's the stigma you get for driving one. The reason it's crap is because when you see someone driving one you think they look like an absolute tw@t!

I loved my 206, maybe it was cos it was mine for such a long time and the nicest car I've owned bar the 350z.

Pic of it ready for Le Mans 2008.

You think an M3 is boring but you love a Peugeot 206....I rest my case your honour

New minis, new Beetles. Not driven them, this is more of personal a ideological gripe. They betray their cheap and fun everyman origins and the current trend for big multi-billion revenue companies (not just auto manufacturers) to have twee products and twee adverts really gets on my threpenny bits.

Companies like this arere all, "Look at my cute little [insert product here] it's so twee and just like it was hand crafted by the hippy commune down the road, you're a proper urban hipster if you have one." like it's not knocked out by demographic analysis and projected profit margins like a proper business. "We're just making it as a big favour to you, aren't we nice?" This includes anything advertised with rock/folk soundtrack and usually stop motion puppets or some sort of snowpr!ck trying to do his Christmas shopping. I just want to take a fan heater to his stupid snowballs.

+1 (I think I'm not so hot on "demographic analysis and projected profit margins" ;) )

Worst car I ever drove was a "Race prepped" Beetle - it looked the tits but my god was it bad - no suspension at all, steering heavier than the moon and you could probably run faster than it. :yuck:

The second worse car I ever drove was a 1.0 Metro Automatic, it just had no redeeming features whatsoever. :yuck:

Lol. That a gti? I was looking at the gti-180 before I got my 172. I assumed if would be like my 106. Imo it was terrible. No steering feel, roly poly and crashy at the same time and it was slow even though it should have has more power than the 172. Realised why they where so cheap

I this is definately the case. BMW made such brilliant drivers cars out of the early M-models that they soon became the status symbol for every arrogant twonk in the financial district. The M-cars were allways a good driver's car though so, dispite the reputation of some of their owners, i still liked them. However these days, all the twonks seem to e driving Audis, an Audi are LOVING this so market their cars to such people. unfortunately because of this and the fact that Audis have no redeaming features as far as sporty driving dynamics are concerned is the reason that i can't stand them.

With that said allow me to wrap up this thread with a picture:

Yeah it was a Gti 180. Had it lowered on eibach springs and I found it handled well, but only when I put on the eagle f1s, on pirelli tyres it was shocking.

Judging by many things not including performance, the Porsche 911. Good god, so many of them about in various guises, they sound dreadful like the engine is on its last legs, look so dated (I understand the reasoning but that shouldn't excuse it) and that fat unsightly back end on it. Saw the Boxster get a bashing throughout the thread, but have to admit I dont hate the look of new one...

Prior to the Zed, I had a Vauxhall Astra (incoming baby, wife who likes sensible cars etc) on a 57 plate, it was the most soulless driving experience of my life. Being in it was like sitting in a children's plastic toy, everything about it was utterly awful. I joined an Astra forum to make sure I had access to knowledge and parts, what I didn't realise was that it only gave me access to people that blacked out all their windows lowered the car to the ground and classed a remapped 1.7td astra as having 'superb' performance.

Another one for the list, my other half had an 'L' reg 1.4D 106 for her first car, a 'Graduate' model no less.

It was the most gutless car I've ever driven and I despised it, so much so that I crashed it twice.

To be fair it was super reliable, did about 60mpg and could achieve hilarious lean angles :D
