Took the plunge today and bought a 53 plate jap import GT for the princely sum of £5k. Full Nissan main dealer history. Just driven it back from London to Portsmouth and i'm in LOVE. Needs a little tidy, the front alloys need a clean up, the drivers side window sticks a bit...and the satnav + stereo need to be ripped out!...apart from that, all is good :-) It was a toss up between a 54 plate uk for £8k and this one. I figure I can use that £3k to sort it to my liking. Not interested in resale value, I intend to keep it for the long haul. I look forward to getting to know you all a bit better.
