  1. And moved to the correct sub-forum - locked due to post not complying with the forum rules relating to 'what's it worth' sales.
  2. Hope you got a good mortgage deal for that....... A dream for most of us on here but wow, credit to you for stepping into true super car league. But having teased us with a little snippet of the Macca be great to see some more pics and info on the car and hear about your reasoning for that choice with so many other great cars at that money.
  3. Don't know the car but 370 roadsters are pretty rare and no longer being available means they are holding their value well so that one at the price being asked and being low miles looks a steal.
  4. To me it sounds pretty normal from my days with the 370 - maybe with the idling a tad on the low side. The engines are not exactly renowned for quiet running at either end of the rev range.
  5. Moved from 350 General, and wtf is this - someone's idea of a Ben Hur chariot?
  6. Your vid (just need to delete the "s" from http in the Link url box): http://youtu.be/Pr91JcRREJ0
  7. Can you pass on my contact details to your beneficiaries please Alex?

  10. The interactive guides you can access here should help to clarify when you need planning permission, but if you are not sure about interpretation then pm me http://www.planningp....uk/permission/
  11. Lets hope her indoors does not look for a new toy too..........
  12. Having had 2 turbo Scoobies and the now the A45 the OEM power outputs are nothing near those figures. Even the P1 Scooby in OEM form was just 276bhp whilst the A45, even in the latest facelift form is 381 bhp so you are talking about significantly modified models there. I can certainly vouch that the A45's performance, and grip, in OEM form (mine is 354bhp) is in a different league to the Scoobies in OEM form http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/facts-and-figures/subaru/impreza/saloon-1993/ http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-news/first-official-pictures/mercedes-benz/mercedes-a45-amg-muscles-up-to-381bhp-in-2016-a-class-facelift/
  13. How about this? Nissan knew the the DE engined dipstick would not work well and figured that an oil pressure gauge would be the best early warning of problems. But when it came to the 370, and after experience with the the HR engine in the last 350 offerings, in their efforts to save costs they ditched the oil cooler knowing the far better dipstick would not cause reading issues but knew the oil temp would be borderline, as many owners across the pond then found out without even going on track, hence the oil temp gauge.
  14. I (and other half) are twice you age and we value the the bucket and 'hard' style seats for support when pressing on in the twisties but also on long journeys, as we found that with what might be described as the more comfy seats gave us both backaches. So these were our choice in the A45 over the leather options.
  15. That's an easy one to deal with - just screw some 4"x 2" timber on the floor that lets you know when to stop. OK, if you have a rear facing camera that would do the same job.....but to feel the car being stopped by the wood really does help the confidence. I have painted the wood stop white so that I or others going in hopefully don't tip over it. Oh, and also painted a vertical white line on the rear wall so that I know if I keep that in sight with the side of the car when looking in the driver's mirror the nearside is not going to hit the wall. Had to do that with the A45 as with the multiple parking sensors front and rear going off as though all 4 corners were going to hit something when there was plenty of room.
  16. Why? What you have described was also the case with 'new build' pre the Second World War, right up to the 1970's when Town Planning guidance then stipulated minimum garage sizes of 16' x 8'. Reflected the fact that cars owned by the masses were no longer Austin 7's and the likes. With the 'Green lobby' gaining support in recent decades and politicians deciding our use of cars must not be encouraged saw many 'new builds' not even making provision for off-street parking, let alone garages but where parking was provided it was back to minimum sized garages just so those marketing houses could offer another tick box for potential house owners. In reality these days, because cars don't rust away like they used to and most car owners only have them as a means of getting from A to B garages often become sheds or if attached to the house are converted into rooms. So, for those of us who prefer to garage our cars it is not always easy, especially when house buying funds are limited, to find a property with a decent sized garage and like you I could just squeeze my 370 into the garage bulit with our 1965 built house whilst the A45 is an even tighter fit with just a total of some 12cm left for the wing mirrors to get through given I have to reverse cars in so I can out a little more easily...... Yes, as a car lover but working as a Town Planner all my life, I had some interesting debates with my peers on garage and car provision, needless to say I was often in the minority!
  17. OK guys the camber situation is quite clear, so please no more clutter on this Group Buy thread And this is the last posted list, for anyone wishing to add their interest:

  19. Obviously been a success so pinned to help others
  20. Maybe a dolly hire? (If the tow car weight is suitable and buying one outright @ £750 is not on.) https://www.gumtree....very/1147498208 When I was doing competition stuff I used n "A" frame to tow an Imp behind a Golf GTi and absolutely rock steady at 70mph. Only drawback is reversing as the towed car needs to be detached as there is no way you can reverse when attached due to the front wheel camber. It would be easy to hook up onto the 350z crash bar with suitable tow hooks through the bumper.
  21. Easy to jump to conclusions at this time of the year as to why she chose not to stop, but in doing so it has not only prejudiced her 'defence' but hopefully the police will identify the driver and do them for failing to stop - as how was she not to know there were no injuries in the OP's car
  22. Surprises me this has not been snapped up - not so long ago they were highly sought after.
  23. Usual trick is to make sure you have given the car a good ragging before dropping the car in for a pre-arranged MOT so that the cats are hot as possible and they are working at peak efficiency. Usually gets over the high readings issue.
