  1. As others say, if selling privately give the option of with mods or not and adjust price accordingly. If you are trading in against another car then certainly remove the bits and selling them separately will go towards your new purchase, given the trade -in price will almost certainly be lower than a private sale, in one way or another dependent upon how the trader stacks up the deal.
  2. Hope so too: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/122437
  3. I had wondered that after the 'incident last year but perhaps the fact he competes events where there others are generally not around to worry about, is a factor.......? But then ZMANALEX has done thousands of laps at Knockhill in his roadster on track days over several years and that is pushing out over 660bhp, as well as his two GTR's, and they do not have roll cages perhaps, you wonder how he ever manages to sit down Mind you having enjoyed several laps with Alex in his first GTR at Knockhill I would not be surprised to hear he had driven the track blindfold such was his precision through the corners lap after lap and often the quickest driver.......
  4. Yo, VTEC just kicked in for Honda Will be interesting to see how the Hass teams performs......you get the feeling they will be be right up there quite early on in the season
  5. One good thing Andy is that at least the accident was not at the beginning of the Sprint season, so will be good to see you out again early this year. Big credit to you for going through the pain of a rebuild, but it is so looking worth it!
  6. Be good to see someone do a (proper ) photoshop with the yellow off the headlights
  7. Hope you don't have a front tyre blow out that causes you loss of control........oh, but then as a "Tyre Guru" hopefully your God will be looking after you
  8. Hope you don't mind me saying but havnt read such rubbish in a long time. When all components are checked cleaned and the discs then skimmed on the car by a professional brake judder will not return. yes it will if the disks are not bedded in properly - which they never are How many new car owners and particularly those buying performance cars 'bed-in' the new brakes - a tiny fraction I suspect. Or indeed those who have new pads/discs fitted? Sorry, but unless you are talking about track work where it is important to get the discs/pads run-in before pushing the car to the limit the need for bedding-in is just not necessary in the vast majority of cases. As Marcus/Mark say above there are "many conundrums" that can cause judder so best off letting the experts diagnose what the cause is before jumping to conclusions.
  9. I'd love to have the time to waste, but modding the off-topic stuff on this forum keeps me too busy.
  10. Keep on topic please guys - remember the purpose of this thread in Announcements.
  11. Can only echo what others have said about your purchase and having admired it in the flesh. I was very tempted myself to get back to Zed ownership, but the divorce costs put me off And welcome to the forum and your location means you are amongst a large number of knowledgeable Zed enthusiasts as well as access to specialist garages, should you need them for servicing etc.
  12. Good point! Having done a lot of off-road motorsport in my early years......it taught me an awful lot about car control in slippery conditions - particularly doing Production Car Trials that involved negotiating steep inclines on narrow courses. Favourite cars for me were Beetles and Imps (glad you added the RWDs Dan) - so with all the weight at the rear that could be a blessing on the uphills but on the downhills really grabbed your attention to prevent them sliding out of the set course. So when it comes to snow, ice and any slippery driving condtions best control is using the gears and stay off the footbrake and when on the downhill sheet ice stuff, obviously as slow as possible using the handbrake (only as necessary) so that you are not locking the front wheels and can steer with right hand and have a better chance to counteract potential conflict with kerbs etc. One of the big downsides with A45 - electronic handbrake, makes my advice ^^^ rubbish!!! But when it is not icy then the A45 4WD is frankly awesome.
  13. Title edited to delete full reg plate - not always welcomed by the owner concerned.
  14. Beware ^^^^^^ Otherwise your financial reasoning will quickly go out the window But enjoy - you only live once so make the most of opportunities as they come along and its a good stepping stone into true supercar territory
  15. Passengered around a forest stage at Phil Price Rally School in a tuned Scooby which I found quite exhilarating, although I had done some stage/ road rallying in the past at club level. However, I would hate to be looking down reading pace notes as I'd end up doing this Navigating on rallies in my early years of motorsport got me used to being thrown around and not throwing up myself and have to say that when the opportunties arose to be taken round tracks by Pro drivers or what I have seen as very competent drivers, I just love every minute. But when in a car and you know the driver is shall we say er, wanting in the driving depatment, then I look forward to an early end to the drive as rather than enjoying the drive I tense up as not being able to relax is a sure recipe to not feeling well!!

  17. Given your engine sucked in water I would have thought it likely the ECU (and other electrics in that area) got a drenching too? Only saying that as once bought a s/h Audi that had various intermittent electrical faults and quickly got the dealer to exchange for another (that was OK) and at the time there was suspicion on the part of a mechanic I knew that the car had been flooded at some time beforehand.
  18. I'd like to think followers on here are a little more discerning than what the term "social media" normally embraces
  19. Locking this before it leads to someone getting warning points or worse
  20. Note: Usual 'for sale' requirements do not apply to one or our traders.
