Sorry to hear the news, but right to report to the police and get an incident number.........as more and more insurance companies are offering repairs for hit and runs that do not affect your NCB - hopefully yours is one of those, so you might like to check it. The fact you got the reg number is a bonus so chase up the police as to whether they have interviewed the registered owner as if they have evidence then irrespective of the 'hit & run' cover you should have a good case against the other party having failed to stop.

What tyres and sizes are you using and also what pressures?

You seem fairly sure it's tyres and if they are not quality ones (there are umpteen threads on here as to the 'good/not so good/plain awful') but would encourage you have a 4-wheel alignment when the new tyres are fitted, as that could well be a factor, albeit will never address the use of shite tyres.

My inclination is to say pads - do they get any better when hot - i.e. harder pads instead of the OEM, as in my experience I never found the OEM Brembos/pads on my 350s lacking during warm-up and when hot.

Rare event to hear good news about a coming together that is hopefully going to be resolved without argument, but keep an eye on that "noting for information" by the insurance co in case they try to use that as an excuse to raise your premium next time round. No doubt the fact ES underwrite their own insurance means their drivers do not have go into auto pilot to deny responsibility, unlike everyone else who immediately worry about insurance cover/cost at next renewal....

Trust they are a garage that knows 350's well as we have seen far too many bad feedbacks from members about garages basically miss-diagnosing. You would be best off using an independent that specialises in the ZEDs if possible - if you post up your location (or better still add it to your avatar), then I'm sure you will be pointed in the right direction.....if necessary
