  1. Good to see crawlers on a motorway get a ban as well as those over the speed limit

No worries - as Stu said, the thread is to gauge interest as the more we can order the better the price will be. The desktop option is something new for the forum as members in the past have asked for this so I'll also use this post to give another little bump for those still making up minds as time to get the order in for early delivery in 2016 is running out.

  5. These cars are not cheap to run, and get very, very expensive if you skimp on servicing. My advice would be to take your car to a good independent (driving there with low revs) and get them to do a 'proper' oil and filter change. In your general location there has been continuously good feedback about Lockwood & Greenwood from members on here: http://www.lockwoodandgreenwood.co.uk/contactus Others on here may be able to tell you of others nearer to you
  6. If it is yours.......and not picked up on the road then Nissan should cover it under the warranty
  7. You have answered your own question about the disc issue and and I agree with Commander about replacements ^^^ As for the rubbing, those 'tram lines' disappear under the tyre crud you have left which suggests to me they are something you have picked up on the road surface somewhere, beside which they are well clear of the bolt (seeing your test pic) that you think might be responsible. But have you checked nothing is caught between the rear of the disc and the brake shield, like a stone or twig - that has often been responsible for rubbing noises You should know by spinning the wheels when the car is jacked up.
  8. That "white thing" is their electric leaf (as opposed to the wind-blown type)
  9. Hi Ady - yep, your birthday prezzie is a welcome back on the best UK 350/370 forum
  10. Hope your head is not hurting now Hugh
  11. There is an excellent guide here: http://www.350z-uk.c...removal-brembo/
  12. Can you post up a vid showing the noise?
  13. Car has gone into 'limp' mode for a reason. As I understand it the ECU will start the car as normal but then will pick up the sensor(s) that are showing an issue and hence the limp mode.
  14. That garage clearly has no understanding about the car given the list of miss-descriptions, and yes I agree with you about its more likely true worth. I can believe that. Peter certainly had skills when it came to leather work, but his mechanical abilities were far more limited and remember as he was disabled could not physically do much of the work himself. I think you find those bills might also include work he had redone and repairs..... But they do not begin the justify the price being asked

    HELP

Surely a dipstick check or would indicate if there was water in the engine or drain the oil to see what comes out? Seems a whole lot cheaper than stripping the "top down"?

  17. Not a good idea to post your email up Matt as the BOTS love to latch onto those and before you know you have the world and his wife emailing you. PM messages are far better as mentioned above. You can edit your first post if you wish, or pm me and I'll do the necessary
  18. Feel for you guys, wear and tear is one thing but when you did nothing wrong to end up collecting scrapes etc it really sucks.

  20. As you say Will a lot of familiar roads and all that does is want me to go back, again, again, again...... So many great cars there - spoilt for choice, but although I have never driven any of them from that review by the drivers/testers at the conclusion who have that opportunity (damn them ), the GT4 Cayman is the one to have with Porsche having focused on the driving experience rather than looks outright speed or dare I say those with bottomless pockets. And I have to say I was minded to take a serious look at Cupra 280 that earned praise in this review before i saw the feedback about awful dealer experience and when buying a new car that is a factor in my book never mind the nearest dealer was about 50 miles away and at the time did not have a demo to try!
