Perhaps Michelin will send you a birthday card for all the business you have put their way Or perhaps they will up your commission And if not have these on me xxx

See his first sentence in post No.46, in answer to me seeking clarification on the 'other work'. A risky thing to do giving them virtually a blank cheque but the poor guy (literally now!) has hopefully learnt a hard lesson on how to not presume that because a garage has NISSAN over the door it will always mean a job well done at fair prices.

Terrible, terrible news and he will be sadly missed. He contributed so much to the forum in so many ways - in the fact the list is endless, and he was so generous is help in all ways. Having enjoyed many meets, drives and 'socials' with 'Mart' and Liz, our hearts go out to her for her loss and he was one of the best. Although he did not always enjoy the best of health there was always laughter and good humour when Mart was around even though his body was giving him grief, such was his way to enjoy life to the full. A very sad loss for all who knew him. Rest in Peace Martin .

And is there another UK track with the sea a stone's throw away.......? Dunno, but you can't see the sea in the first pic In the third pic down (go on Dan exercise your scrolling wheel ) it almost looks as the two cars are going over cliff into the sea

Can't say I bought it for its looks and I would not been seen dead in the chavved-up Petronas edition. But some 360 bhp + 4 wheel drive + launch and host of other goodies, including an exhaust that pops and bangs when giving it some and in the wet has just unbelievable grip, it makes for an entertaining ride. And somewhat quicker than my ZEDs, but having said that the 370 was the best car I have enjoyed in my car ownership for sheer driving pleasure.

I don't remember the Zeds having a "master key" - just two the same and the mechanics key without the remote. I might be wrong with that hough?

!962 850 Mini (made 3 years before I took my test ) Honestly can't remember what I paid for it but came from a family member so maybe a couple of hundred ponds at the time - two tanks of fuel now in a 370!

Alex's last post may seem harsh but he does not speak with forked tongue, and I really think you need to reflect. I have quoted the main bits of your first post ^^^^^ to remind us, where you set out the background and have signed up on here looking for advice. Your "trusty local mechanic" pointed to the likely issue but declined the work as "he doesnt have the computers to reset the electrics etc". Fair enough, but his only mistake was to suggest you take it to the nearest Nissan dealership, but when you did point out the potential problem to them, they chose to ignore it and still have. We still aren't clear why Glasgow Nissan carried out all the unrelated work - did you say something along the lines - "and oh while you are about it could you fix anything else you see wrong", or did they unilaterally carry out all the other stuff without at least calling you to authorise the work? There is a wealth of experience on here - over 12 years worth with 350 zeds - and your clutch pedal issue is a well known one that has become more and more common as the cars get older. But as Nissan stopped making the 350's back in 2009, so the dealer knowledge has declined as they see fewer and fewer 350's in their premises to fix faults, partly due to the charges they make and partly due to....... yes, the lack of specialised knowledge. That said, there are few dealers around who have built up good reputations and continue to provide excellent service but most 350 owners on here will use specialists when needed, because they have built up good reputations and know the cars inside out. It is a pity you did not ask about those that are local to you on here first. From your latest post it seems to us Glasgow Nissan are still flying a finger in the air, aided and abetted by Nissan Customer Services who we know are really not interested in non current models. Whilst GN are not charging for the latest work, it is looking pretty clear that will not resolve the problem given what Alex has advised - he being someone that Nissan themselves have sought help from when they have got stuck with 350z issues in the past! We are very fortunate to have his knowledge and experience on here and his offer above to look at your car was a real opportunity missed....... I am only saying all this as we really hate to see new owners being taken for a ride by garages who really don't know what they are doing. And if you did not authorise all that unrelated work you should at least be negotiating a refund, or seek legal advice.

I would have thought it wise to take the wheels off to take a close look for signs of rubbing. Clutch fluid maybe boiling and causing the braking issue? - but in any event worth changing/upgrading if doing track work.
-
Hang about, the reason he chose the garage he did was because it had a large "Nissan" sign on it and boasts of the quality of the training of their technicians then Id certainly make them aware - this isnt just bad service, this is a misdiagnosis that has cost a Nissan customer time and money. I dont doubt that you wont receive payment direct from Nissan UK, but when one of their own franchisees repeatedly misdiagnosis a car and then gets very awkward I think a complaint to head office is definitely worth a punt, you may find they suddenly become a lot easier to deal with. I really would like to believe that would be the case, but you just know that all Nissan Customer Services would do is punt that back to the dealer and wash their hands of any responsibility. Sorry.

Andyjames Supercharged Silver Pheonix Rebuild
Ebized replied to andy james's topic in Member Build Projects
Yeah, he's getting quite quick with that angle grinder now -
Ban is temporary ^^^^^ and is between the team and the member concerned - we don't air our dirty washing on a public forum, and that is the same is for warnings.

Pics from Wiki For me the only issue is the auto transmission, be good to know if any were built with it. Anyone near Barry in South Wales want to check it out? (Trade seller)

I can and it was 50 years ago Taught by an ex-police driving instructor who had also taught a neighbour (spinster) and she paid for her driving lessons in the bedroom - and she had many more lessons than me But she went on to own a Volvo P1800 (the type made famous by the ) that she bought before that car was made famous and she kept it for a long while so she obviously knew how to make the most of her assets

Probably found it was an ejector seat and hasn't landed yet

I thought V power was 98. Used both momentum and v-power and on the road can't say I have noticed an difference, but my pocket is a little better off with the former
