  2. To do the window reset, start the car, push the window open button until the window opens fully and keep holding it down for 5 seconds. Then pull it up to fully close the window, again holding it up for 5 seconds once closed. Or try this ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REMOVING BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL : Special Repair Requirement INFOID:0000000004460995 INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE 1. Disconnect battery negative terminal or power window switch connector. Reconnect it after a minute or more. 2. Door switch is OFF (close). 3. Turn ignition switch ON. 4. Operate power window switch to fully open the window. (This operation is unnecessary if the window is already fully open.) 5. Continue pulling the power window switch AUTO-UP. Even after glass stops at the fully closed position, keep pulling the switch for 3 seconds or more. 6. Initializing procedure is completed. There you go.
  3. Nice job As I need to replace my garage door, I like the way yours work - can you let me know the make please?
  4. There is one who says he is 86, but a google shows an instagram a/c of a thirties something, using the same username id in the same area.....
  5. The description in your first post sounds similar the effect when using cruise and coasting downhill and that steps in to keep to the set speed. Is it like that? If it is have, you been using cruise beforehand only it made me think whether the process that does that in cruise might help to narrow down where the issue lies. Just a thought, and it may be nothing to do it with it.
  6. Oh no he is not, we have a 72 year old with a Zed who is currently active on here and in total at least 8 other members in their seventies from a quick trawl of our stats on here, although most of those do not appear to have posted for some time now...... But I guess he is not after the golden oldie award, so I will respect his privacy And that's not counting those who would have us believe they are 100+ and those who have not revealed their ages......
  7. Oh, and make sure it is in the 'Zeds for Sale' sub-forum, you be surprised how many fail that basic requirement
  8. Posted together - good job we do not speak with forked tongues
  9. Yes you can post a link (and noting you have over 100 posts and been a member in excess of 6 months) but you do not need a username when selling cars, only selling/swapping parts.
  10. So you're saying the Michelins are no good for those quiet nights with the odd drift on a private road? I didn't say that but let's just say the Falkens will let go a lot sooner than the Michelins What I will say though is that the grip in the wet with the Michelins is on an altogether different level and in turn safer for you and your passenger
  11. That's rich, coming from someone who we have yet to see post their own pics
  12. and the MPSS will inspire much more confidence in all driving conditions and you get extra pleasure from the car. but if you like to hang your rear end out then Falkens will be better - just be more ready to react to the car trying to take over the direction of travel
  13. If you pm me your postcode and house number I might be able to provide some more help about the house history
  14. Having confirmed that ^^^, I now have little doubt the blockwork was added for insulation purposes and probably to support the linking roof, therefore it is likely to have structural implications. But based on the info to date, and really you are best advised to get a competent person along to inspect - at least by a respected builder or a surveyor
  15. From what I believe the brick is original the grey breeze blocks have been added after. All I need to know is if it's safe to knock down. I'm sure if it's been added after garage was done the garage must have stood perfectly fine before the new wall. I think I'm pretty confident it isn't supporting the roof. But it looks to me as though the garage was originally detached and the orange coloured bricks + definitely the blockwork wall, are later additions. But is the other side of the blockwork wall visible inside the garage or is it brickwork and that is the same as the bricks we can see to the side of what I presume is the garage door?
  16. Am I reading this correctly? Looking at the brickwork on the return (outside wall) it appears to be the same as that to left the garage and the section with the door/window is an 'infill', noting the different colour bricks? Is the blockwork wall also visible on the garage side or is that brickwork as per the rest of the garage? If so, it makes me feel the blockwork wall (where that stored wood can be seen) was added to give insulation to the space and/or support for the new infill roof (where that stored wood can be seen). Which then begs the question as to what might happen to the infill/garage roof if the blockwork wall were removed. As others have said a bit more detail to help the understanding accepting my take on the issue may be wrong
  17. See this thread for the confirmation you seek: http://www.350z-uk.c..._ heated seats I now suggest you go out to the car and look underneath both seats to see if the wiring looks connected/sound. Given you have heat in the seat backs that suggests the thermostats are working OK, so I can only presume it is a wiring connection that is adrift......
  18. Seat should heat up too - usually feedback in the past has indicated it is the seat back that does not heat up. Not sure how the switch is wired up, but have you checked to see if any connections to the squab have come loose/undone? Maybe a clean-up of the contacts?
  19. I reckon Michelin ought to be paying the forum for the business we have put their way
  20. Only the team and the member themselves can see members' criminal records that they have 'earned' while using the forum
  21. Only old as...........you know the rest My other half keeps asking when I'm going to grow up, as each car change has had more bhp
  22. aliens Sorry, not heard that kinda noise before. Is there an aftermarket alarm fitted that is triggering that? - just guessing
