I have absolutely no doubt if you were in an accident and huge payouts/compensation was likely then your insurance company will be looking into every which-way to get out of paying up. Just not worth the risk IMHO. Rather like if a car was ploughed into and its driver was the innocent party at that point.......until the police arrived and found they were over the drink limit, such that they became a guilty party, rather than a victim.... giving the insurance company the excuse they needed not to pay out.

But Alex, in the first post he says: "the esp light does not show", which you would expect when "lighting up the rear tyres."

If I am reading correctly, you are saying they spin up as if you were reving in neutral and then rise as you would normally expect in line with the increasing road speed? But do you detect in that initial phase the car is not responding in speed as you would expect, or that the momentum is linear from that initial press of the loud pedal?

Greater wear on the inside pads has been regularly reported on here. You are certainly not the first to be caught out. I fancy that given it is a lot easier to see the outside pad the thickness/disc condition is taken as an indicator that the inside pad/disc will be in a similar condition.......
