    Traction

Re the clutch, in dry conditions I have no issues with clutch slipping as I did think that might be a problem. When I see that name federal mentioned by someone I'm sure that's the tyres that are on mine but I haven't been able to check tonight. Thanks for everyone's advice and opinions so far. I will update once I get it checked out. As I said mot is due in the new year so will do it all at the same time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Traction

lol this is the thing my zed is spinning its wheels just keeping up with normal traffic I'm not putting my foot to the floor as I said earlier 4th gear at 65 shouldn't be doing this regardless of tyres. I'll try my best to check tyre pressures tonight but depends when k folkish work car isn't a daily driver. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Traction

Cheers for that alive boy, the reason I'm on here asking about the traction issues is that I'm not driving in anyway aggressively or as you say like a tool. I'm having serious traction issues that weren't there when I bought the car a year ago. I didn't know I wasn't allowed to accelerate in 3rd gear on a dual carriage way that is empty in both lanes. Everyone else thanks for the input and I will book the car in for the geometry check in the new year and also update tonight with the tyre size incase it has anything to do with it. Traction

Thanks for your input. I definitely feel something isn't right with the car with as it just wasn't that wet yesterday and at 4000rpm in third straight line it just snapped away luckily the traction control sorts it all out but it does give you a bit of a fright. It is due an mot in January so after that I think I will get an alignment done when I change the tyres. Is it okay to just buy two new rears at the moment as I'm not sure I can afford 4 new tyres in January even though I would like too. The tread looks fine on the 4 tyres that are on at the moment. I'm at work today so can't check tyre sizes until tonight although I will up date the thread when I know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Traction

With the bad weather recently I have been noticing that my zed has been kicking the rear out when accelerating in a straight line. This is happening in 4th gear at 65mph which is a bit disconcerting! I'm guessing it is all down to the tyres as they were new tyres when I got the car a year ago but I would class them as of ditch finder quality. I appreciate the weather has been shocking over last few days but yesterday it was only lightly raining and it was still trying to kill me in a straight line. Is this as simple as stump up the money for some decent tyres and the traction issue will go or is my diff possibly on its way out the car is on 65000 miles. As alway thanks in advance. 6. All for people wanting to be a bit different but it looks like a part off of a small aeroplane! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. My mate just sent me this today! This was taken in Glasgow! Just horrific! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. These window mechanisms are a nightmare 😔 I'm hopefully stripping mine down next week but it's weather dependent. Will let you know how I get on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Did you ever take the door apart to see if the motor in the door could be recon'd? I do need to be careful when closing the door otherwise I get a horrible noise. Did you just close yours as normal? Could be yours jammed slightly lower than mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Yeah I have to be very careful when closing my door at the moment. It's a massive pain tbh and I'm going to do something about it soon. Suppose it keeps me away from the drive through right enough 😂 Hopefully the motor just needs cleaned as I could do without having to spend more £ on the car. Thanks for your help. Battery all changed and starting a treat now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Hi all. Battery will no longer start the car without jump leads so I'm going to buy a new battery today. Just wanted to ask I few people had said online about dropping the windows before changing the battery. This would be impossible for me as my drivers window currently doesn't drop at all! Would I still be okay to go ahead and change the battery? ( I know I need to fix the window but that's for another day ) Thanks for your help!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I'm currently on 61k. Can't find any recipes to say it's been changed so got to assume it's the original. I get chatter in neutral with the clutch released the same as zeezeebaba. I can find it tricky at low revs to engage the clutch smoothly when changing gears but above 2.5k I never have a problem. Maybe I'm just crap at driving mind you 😳 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. You were correct! tried the jump leads and it fired first time like a good un. Now not sure why the battery went flat. Could be its just had its day. Only sat on the drive for 5 days and pretty sure nothing was left on anywhere. Thanks for everyone's input!! Appreciated! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Have pmed stylz ðŸ‘🻠if anyone has any further thoughts let me know. I will update with how I'm getting on. Thanks again for everyone's help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. This is true. It was not hearing the fuel pumps prime that worried me. When I tried it again I could hear what sounded like a gurgling noise from behind me which then eventually stopped. My car was last driven on Tuesday. The last time I tried to switch it on today it really struggled to turn over so would that make you think battery? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
