  1. @Adrian@TORQEN can explain it best of all but you'll need to use both and declare it to insurance. Issue is the UK safety feature which pops the bonnet up when a front on collision occurs with a pedestrian. Bonnet needs to pop up etc., also think it causes a check engine light/error code if you decide to remove it. Most UK users have avoided doing the mod. Unless you're showing off your engine bay, I'd say its worth spending time and money else where.
  2. I'd be keen to hear more about this too! I've got a 370Z that I need the diff bushings replaced. See if they'll sort a price knowing they could get 2 cars in. I'm based in the Midlands but frequently in Berkshire and West London too. Tarmac surprisingly said they don't do it. Horsham quoted more than I could reasonably expect to pay.
  3. I've got a Cobra HFC and CBE that I'd happily sell. Drop me a pm if you're interested.
  4. GLWS, looks like a beauty of a car and surprised at how low the mileage is!
  5. I know right! Though I think the age and location are big factors in pricing. I've got a low mileage 8 year old 370z for a decent price. A newer one with same miles shoots straight up!
  6. I do find it ironic that baby boomers are talking about consequences. . . Taking this off topic but I have to say it. Millennials didn't sell housing, utilities or Royal Mail for under market rate then complain about price hikes, nor are Millennials the ones who trashed the environment. Give the young generation credit where its due and avoid trash talking a group over the actions of one individual. Back to the point, I do wanna see his next video and find out what happens
  7. Mehhh we're a services driven capitalist economy, with a known boom and bust cycle. Don't think many generations have been taught, but they've definitely been burnt. Either way, it's his mess and I'm glad I can show this video to all my friends and family who pass their driving test and/or look to buy expensive cars. They will definitely understand the message in the way he delivers it, better than they will when the salesman says "just sign here, you can read the T and Cs if you want to". Reminds me when I was asked over the phone if I wanted to listen to the terms and conditions recording of my car insurance. Estimated run time of 122 mins.
  8. Personally I feel sorry for the kid. School didn't teach him fiscal responsibility. The salesman wasn't going to inform him of the Ts and Cs. He isn't going to read the small print, none of us do - size 4 font with complex terms asking you to waive rights for something you want/need. PCP is a big market and the financial arms of companies are starting to turn the screws atm because the economists keep telling us a mini recession will occur due to household debt and car finance. We're all living beyond our means (as a nation). Nonetheless we've all said, he's now the owner of the vehicle, he's just a registered keeper. It's something most of us on this forum can appreciate, we own a less expensive car. This kid is renting a more expensive car. Ownership is key. Ah well, I'm sure he'll learn and fair play to him for at least making a semi decent video to educate others.
  9. I get the feeling they have dropped off since winter. I bought mine last summer and do feel like I could have waited and saved a few more pennies. This is all opinion based, no hard facts to back up my statement (aside from the infrequent checks on auto trader).
  10. I fitted mine yday. The trim was annoying to remove but the kit itself was easy enough. Make sure you don't do what I did and forget to push the wiring back in fully - had to message @cs2000 (who was quick and comprehensive in troubleshooting over WhatsApp). Nice piece of kit though.
  11. Hey, I had the same issue with my 370z cobra exhaust. Glad you checked the flanges because they're usually the culprits. They usually don't sit well and need smoothing down. I'd recommend getting stock Nissan gaskets as they're usually the best. Aftermarket gaskets tend to be terrible for whatever reason. If you bought direct from Cobra complain to them and they'll send you replacement gaskets FOC if you don't wanna buy stock. Though again, I wouldn't recommend them and have been told they aren't the most fit for purpose. The tolerance issue is genuine with Cobra. You get what you pay for unfortunately. I've been told by fitters how they always have one issue or another fitting Cobra systems.
  12. Wanna hijack this thread to see who's local in the Midlands and handy with the Z? I want to sort my diff and subframe bushes out but need an experienced pair of hands and some working space. Goes without saying I'll pay for the favour in beers!

    Tyre Lettering

I don't know how long it took you, but my god how annoying was it to colour in the Hankook? The ventus s1 letters are so easy in comparison. I have the exact same tyres and couldn't be arsed doing it again when I changed the tyres over.
  14. Welcome to the OC! Hope you enjoy every moment and keep us posted with your mods and car shows!

  16. hope you enjoy it as much as we all do!
  17. As we all do, I'm loving the speed, sound and cornering of the 370Z. It's loads of fun and something that keeps me within my limits. However I've been getting a little annoyed with the wheel hopping and terrible off the line feel of the car. Too much power to plant down onto the road, or so I thought. From my YouTubing and foruming, it looks as though my best bet is to sort the differential and sub frame bushings out. The recent posts about Z1 collars for the subframe being available in the UK have got me wondering on what the best way forward is? 1. Do I get Z1 bushing collars or remove the subframe and replace the entire bushing? 2. Do I replace the diff with Whiteline polyurethane bushes or try another brand? 3. Is this work I can do myself or will I need to go to a garage? 4. How much have people paid in the past (either street or track setups) to reduce the wheel hop?
  18. @SHEZZA did you buy the bushings and fit them? Was curious to know if you did it yourself and if you'd recommend sorting split bushings out? Wanna know if I'm missing power on the road. . .
  19. I'm guessing Nissan don't do what the German dealerships do with getting their mechanics filmed? They stick a go pro on their helmets/work suit and they explain what they're doing along the way. You can watch the footage and check what parts and work is being done. Mate has it all the time for his Golf R.
  20. But while you're in touch with the dealership, I'd recommend checking out your differential bushings.
  21. Does anyone else get dns issues on this forum? I often find I get an "error, connection closed" message or that the site takes a long time to resolve. This is the case with both my mobile provider and my fibre optic ISP.
