  1. Happy to sell you my Cobra HFC and exhaust, gives it a very immense sound. Roars when over 4k revs.
  2. I'd recommend you stick with a 350z if you're stretching your budget. Only reason I say is, the price to fix a punctured tyre or get a service or even do a mod or two will easily push you over your budget. To answer your question, no I haven't had any issues with my synchros and I don't think it's a common problem. There is also a way to deal with synchros, most people have issues with 1st and 2nd gear but that's because they're changing gears too early or shifting down from 5 to 2 too fast and messing the ECU timing up.
  3. This looks so tempting but in typical 370z fashion, I feel like I'll find a whole host of rust related problems underneath that won't make it easy or a single task. I assume it's just the W brace and exhaust that need removing, like they mention in the video? Or is life easier if you decide to take anything else out?
  4. Mehhh I understand your point of view but I don't agree with it. You're not wrong about there being good CEOs who move onto challenges new. Being an MP is being an ambassador. I don't expect any professional to be paid handsomely for representing their community so why would I want to pay any more for this community steward and representative? It is something you pay forwards not pay back/unto yourself. I also think we need to discuss expenses and 2nd homes etc. MPs get quite a handsome payday, albeit not inside the monthly pay packet. Pretty sure the majority are lawyers by education, so it's not like they've not had the choice to go chase the money. If you want to represent me, you should want to do it for the greater good, for beliefs that make you who you are. If you want to represent me for the money, the fame or the hysteria then please move on. My big issue with politicians is how little transparency there is and how much hypocrisy there is. All across the scale, they take the absolute mickey. Tory's vote against humane housing, Labour votes to kill all competition in the private sector. Let's not even talk about the cost of rebuilding the Houses of Parliament - talk about austerity.
  5. Who wouldn't be successful in politics? You either appease the rich or you appease the poor. You just have to know how to get the papers to spin it as a win for everyone. Like I said, I'd hate to pay a CEO millions if they leave where the share price tanks. No different with a political representative.
  6. Disagree. You'll get mercenaries who want the money but don't care about the mess they leave behind after their term in office. Short termism at its worst. Think IT contractors.
  7. In need of Nissan 370z New Silver touch up paint, paint code K23 or K23G. Taken the paint code from the service manual and need enough to cover 10 paint chips. Yes I know eBay or Chipex but if anyone wants to rid of theirs, I'm happy to buy and give you back some pennies and some garage space.
  8. If you're not in a rush, I'd say it's worth 18k. Might be better selling some of those parts individually and listing the car for 16k.
  9. Got some new plates but thought I'd see what the car looks like totally debadged up front. I'm a massive fan but the pain of moving the plates to the mesh grill and finding brackets (ideally ones which allow me to hide the plates at car shows) just isn't worth it. Managed to spray the badge and give it some TLC but dont think I wanna put it back oh. Someone wanna convince me otherwise?

I used a white pen to colour in the brand name, it looks nice but discolours quick enough for me to not wanna try it again. I've heard printed letters are better but need gluing and often tear off. I've been there done it and would advise against it unless you really wanna get attention.
  11. So last year a few friends asked me to come Japfest, I wasn't a car guy but thought it'll be a good day out. Saw the 370Z and my whole world changed. I've owned my Z almost a year now, got the modding bug and made changes and plans. There is nothing else that could make me happy burning a hole through my pocket. This forum has been epic for me, learned so much and done plenty to the car. I tip my hat to the admins, the forum members, the meet organisers and the suppliers. I enjoyed myself to no end yesterday and it was down to this car and this club. Can't wait for the next show!
  12. @Irn Bru Delete this post please, items withdrawn from sale.
  13. Anyone coming from Birmingham way?
  14. Again, I don't think it's worth a build thread but do want to post my progress nonetheless. Fitted @Adrian@TORQEN undertray and practiced a little spray painting. The undertray is really good and has slightly helped with clearance and handling. Not groundbreaking but enough to make bumps and roundabouts a little easier. Also had chance to protect my front swaybar a little, as its starting to show signs of wear and tear. Won't need replacing for a while and just had to protect it while I was under there.
  15. You book it in, they'll give you a rough time slot. You can chill in their waiting room or you can taxi into town and chill out. P1 takes an hour to get through if that helps you gauge timing. Be warned if your car is lowered, its a rough and rugged road down the farm to get in.
  16. +1 for Horsham. Phil did my service and he's a top guy who'll tell you about any issues he foresees. Told me about my swaybars looking OK but starting to show signs etc.
  17. So I've got the Cobra HFC and CBE, fitted by the previous owner, which I want to upgrade for cosmetic reasons. Preferably want to sell as a whole set if anyone is interested BTW. I've got the Amuse bodykit on the car but the Cobra exhaust looks terrible; tips don't match the kit and the backbox hangs out. I'm going to follow @V1H and cut my bodykit a little and custom make some diffusers which amplifies the problem of the backbox hanging below the bodykit. The question I have is. . . Has anyone ever cut the backbox out and had some smaller inline resonaters welded in? Is it worth the shortcut? Should I expect a lot more noise? Any in line mufflers people can recommend?
  18. I'm selling the Cobra HFC and CBE on my car if you're still looking. Air intakes are nice to get done but not necessary, totally depends who you talk to and what you want to do (some intakes need you to take the front bumper off, some have filters that are only ever cleaned and not replaced etc.) Remap should be done last after all your engine mods to get full gains.
  19. PM sent if you decide to go down the Cobra route.
