  1. Aim for unsprung weight. Alloys, tyres, brake discs, pads and calipers, suspension. Then head over to the seats, exhaust and maybe the bodykit. Not worth the hassle IMO, you won't notice the weight drop enough and if you do, then you've spent enough money to buy a more dedicated car (Alpine, Lotus etc)
  2. I'm looking for an aftermarket 370z true dual system. Budget stretches depending on age and condition. Open to straight cut, rolled, polished or burned tips. Also happy to swap my Cobra CBE if that helps open my options. Looked at the usual dealers but can't afford 1.5k on AAM, Motordyne or Injen.
  3. I'm actually happy to hear this is all sorted. If you ever sell your car, make sure you link this thread in your post! Respect your determination.
  4. Thanks! Just wanted to see where people had mounted their button, looks a good and tempting mod.
  5. Anyone got a photo of the kit? And a photo of it fitted?
  6. Surely the 370Z is gonna need some electronics covering up? I'm not too confident in dousing it with water, granted its a mechanical car (compared to zee German motors) but surely a few of the sensors will need hiding away first?

    Cargo net clip

@buster you have any more cargo clips going?
  8. Works to your advantage still, by law, you get a 3 month warranty. Any issues, throw a wobbly and demand your consumer rights. Make sure they MOT it before they sell it to you, makes your first year of ownership easier and if it fails on emissions then get them to source and fit some stock cats for you. Ask them for any paperwork they have, there will always be the name of a previous owner and if you're lucky they might have been on one of the many forums. Good luck and hopefully welcome to the owners club!
  9. They are aftermarket high flow cats, which will improve power output from the engine, increase noise (volume and tone), and are of fairly good quality. They aren't premium and they will mean you need to find a friendly MOT tester or remember to have a spirited drive to get the cats warm and working optimally for the MOT. You can always go back to stock or try another set of aftermarket cats. There will be plenty of buyers on this forum if you decide to sell. Make sure you ask the owner how long they've been on and what happened to the old pair. Ask if the car has been tuned and sensors disabled. Hope this helps.
  10. TBF it's the tips that I need the advice on. Everything else will be straightforward and I've been given the thumbs up by a few local detailing companies, albeit with amateur equipment. Want to know where I can save the pennies and DIY so I can keep the money in the fuel tank.

  15. Those two speakers @nissanjuke are actually the contents of the subwoofer. The amp is sat next to the other amp underneath the foam. Fiddled with the audio settings and now get the right balance of deep bass from behind and volume from the door speakers. Was going to copy your idea but I actually like the Bose system, it's a good stock system, just needed to leave the silly spare tyre plastic mould and be freed. The foam is better at sound damping than any wood would have been hence me using it like this. I've got a Cobra CBE atm and want to delete the backbox so need all the interior sound damping I can get.
  16. I've got a Mishimoto voucher if you need it. . . I applied for sponsorship and got it, but not impressed with the sponsorship deal. Anyway, happy to help if you go down that route.
  17. Yeah all sorted! Sorry for never getting back around to replying. Replaced the parts and reimbursed me for labour, with all the work being done at Horsham Dev. Not had any issues since but helped a few others with the same problem. Also found the previous owner on the 370Z forum and figured out what parts were put on the car and work done etc. Helped with my investigation.
  18. Didn't think this was worthy of a whole build thread but I've sorted the one thing I hated on the "weekend car", I finally have some space for luggage. Just need to carpet it and attach my cargo net and happy days!
  19. In need of 1, (yes 1 and you know why ) Cargo Clip - Part#84937 See picture below.
  20. Dammit. Looks like I'll have to sell the exhaust and buy a true dual. . .
  21. The noise, researching the error code and asking the guys down at @Jez @ H-Dev aka Horsham Developments. Unfortunately I don't have the space/tools to do an exhaust leak check but was pretty sure after listening out for the noise and the background reading. If you've got axle stands / ramp / non powered car then I'm sure you could get underneath and shine a light at the gaskets. I don't have the picture to hand but mine were blown sideways and it was clear as water that the gaskets were faulty. Hope that helps?
  22. Were these on the stock exhaust? @buster I'm in need of some help! Have a Cobra CBE but want to delete the backbox and go with resonated short tails. Just not sure if they'll marry up with the Cobra system. Any idea?
