They are Z badges bought from either @Asad or ebay.

You can check the spark plugs and see how much life they have left. Personally if you're keeping the car for a while then do what you feel best. If you're looking to sell soon then I'd recommend keeping to manufacturers recommendations. If you're doing the P3 service then you'll need to check air con, cabin filter, brake fluid etc. See the attachment for more information. 370Z.pdf

Clutch release bearing and centre console has loose screws. Can't lie that's the worst I've heard a Nissan clutch bearing sound. Japanese cars, Nissan included, are known for this. Not sure the exact details or if it can be easily "fixed" You can pull the centre console apart and sort it out. Go search for the guides, you're basically pulling the gear knob off, take the gear gator off and then pull apart the trim. I had the same issue of a loose screw rattling on the lower left side of the center console, near the AC/temp dial. Only happens at low speeds and in low gears otherwise it doesn't hit the resonate frequency.

Welcome welcome!

Welcome welcome!

Poke a pin into the washers? Might just need clearing out of dirt/dried gunk. Not sure if it's similar to the 370Z where you can see the liquid flow in a tube under the hood. See if anything is being pushed around etc.

@GranTurismoEra you really do analyse every decision. These cars are for fun, keep your maths and logic for the bills. I do look forward to your next car purchase though. The videos are gonna be epic.

Welcome to the OC! Looks an absolute beaut.

That's nice! Guess you're a lucky one, hopefully you've got a really aggressive car now. Hahaha only thing I can say about the noise is it gets worse in the winter. I'd recommend spending a weekend applying sound deadening around the cabin.

It's the cost of having to register the business, have an accountant, service the cars, do HPI checks, take them to a garage for work and MOT etc. etc. He's also got fairly good knowledge on the Z33, Z34 and GTR, not something most traders have. Again, not saying it's right but I'm not saying it's wrong. He's also not the type of guy to force a sale and pester you, like Arnold Clark were with me.
-
Well he is VAT registered and is obliged to repair any issues the car has in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. He's got overheads and a family to feed. I get your point of view but it's also how business works. Ironically, he gave me a decent cash price for my car, so if I do sell, I can forget the headaches/prank calls/tyre kickers and let him take a cut without me waiting months for a decent buyer to come along.

I can vouch for that. A windscreen is so easy to replace on an insurance policy and does not impact insurance going forwards. I've even had specialist insurers laugh down the phone because I wanted to tell them about a windscreen claim. Only the big insurers want to know and you can ask them to confirm (in writing) it doesn't impact premiums. But yes once he claims then he's obliged to pay the whole year's premium, not ideal if you're selling the car.

Black has all the options. It's your calipers which need to contrast with the alloys. Personally would say gun metal alloys and red calipers. That's a safe bet and will look mean. Wanna be risky? Try copper/bronze alloys and gold/yellow calipers.

Should have joined the appreciation thread. . .

Decats will be very loud. Gains will be nice. MOT will require handshakes.

Need advice please and query about airbags

Mate, I'm wishing everyone a speedy recovery! I'm also hoping you're keeping a log of all this because I'd be fuming if I bought a brand new BMW from the dealer and couldn't get an answer as to why the car didn't deploy airbags. This could have been a lot worse and BMW need to give you and the rest of the buying public confidence that they are safe to drive/be in passenger in. Keep a logbook and make sure you count up minutes taken to get an answer and names of people. Any more than 3 phone calls at 10 mins a piece and I'd be emailing their CEO etc. That's **** poor customer service and shocking all around from BMW. -
Thought it only fails if its a check engine light?
-
Hijacking this thread because I feel like I'm missing some kit. Thought I'd have some other fitting to attach to the caliper and some crush washers. Thoughts?
-
Well I'm more concerned about the odometer and if the mileage I've actually covered is the same as the mileage shown on the clock. Friend has told me I should get the counting mechanism recalibrated as my aftermarket alloys will cause a speedo and mileage error.
-
How much of an impact does having larger alloys and larger profile tyres have on an odometer? Can it be corrected? Is it legal? Is it worth it?

Provided you (the league admin) creates a profile/team again this season, you'll be able to renew the league. It'll add all the previous members in automatically but new members will need the league pin. You'll need to renew the league in your league section. -
Like the guys have said before, you'll gain mods from the remap than just BHP. It's the power output, the top speed, the ability to get power from the get go and the throttle response. Make sure you've got a full tank of good fuel, it'll help. And make sure you get some sensible maps. Will never understand why people slap a 95 octane map on the car.
-
It's all about the maps. You want to tune up the throttle response, get a 99 octane map and put a valet map on the car as a security feature. Gains tend to be 20ish BHP depending on a few things like air intakes, cats (or lack of) etc.

Holy thread revival?! -
All cars come down in price and the 350z has bottomed out. Best time to buy. The 370Z is more fun and modern but comes at a price (fuel consumption and road tax). I'm trying to figure out how to put rear seats in so I can keep the beauty! Gutted that everyone else has had the problem but not figured it out
