  1. Tyre beads are glorious. Nice write up too, as usual. I trust the Gyeon people continue to pay well
  2. Mac OSX is just Unix in disguise, which more or less makes it just another Linux distro. So you know it's good!
  3. Kevin Once Ewen's off I'll be in touch about that free all round super pro bush kit he promised me
  4. Jack Royal did this to mine I love it to bits, favourite mod.
  5. So much for the EU not being a democracy, abuse of the democratic process is going on right here at home. http://gu.com/p/4jvvg?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
  6. Perfect for a spot of detailing and maybe even some tyre letters!
  7. I'd have given you 5/1 (on a fiver!), I think the republicans have just given up now Trump is the last man standing and effectively their nomination. He galvanises core Republicans but I expect him to alienate anyone who is even vaguely close to the centre ground! #teambernie
  8. Trump goes Brexit http://gu.com/p/4tqmt?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other Expect no one to get as excited as they did about Obama, but equally no one of sound mind is taking any notice of the confused lunatic in the corner of the pub shouting at chihuahuas for being Mexican
  9. Get her a train ticket, sorted
  10. It's not unusual for a delay, as it can take a few cycles to decide it's not happy. You'll see on here people clear them and they go away for a while before reappearing, same thing. If you're going to be getting it regularly I'd forget the pedal dance and splash £20 on a code reader which will also reset, so you can easily check and clear the CEL in future. They're cheap and super useful.
  11. A partner or relative's car is perfect for practicing on, before you do an important car
  12. If you just want to wash it, I'd suggest buying the following basics below - the links are just examples of decent stuff I found in 2 minutes, not "must haves". You will get 20 suggestions for each one of these items if you ask, as it is a very personal thing. 2x decent sized buckets (one for your soapy water and one for rinsing your mitt) like these or bigger http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb-clear-wash-bucket-cat3.html 1x wash mitt http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/gyeon-q2m-smoothie-cat3.html A decent dedicated car shampoo http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-and-drying/car-wash-shampoos/meguiars-gold-class-shampoo/prod_109.html A decent, soft drying towel http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb-luxury-drying-towel-cat5.html If you're going mad, also get some wheel woollies for getting in the wheels http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb-luxury-spoke-back-woolie-cat4.html Also a third bucket and use it for the wheels only and perhaps even a dedicated wheel cleaner. Get that lot and you're well on your way to clean paint and doing minimal damage during your wash. If you've not got a pressure washer, suggest a sensible starting process might be: Rinse the car off with a hose, shifting any loose dirt Chuck the wash mitt in one bucket and fill with soapy water Fill the other bucket with just water Wash one panel at a time with the soapy mitt Rinse the mitt in your rinse bucket after each panel Soak the mitt in the soapy water bucket Repeat this cycle until every panel and the glass is done - rinsing the mitt after each section. Do, start at the top of the car and work down. Do, rinse the whole car with an open ended hose when you're done washing. Do, dry with your drying towel - not the sunshine Do, the whole thing out of direct sunlight if you can. This avoids it drying too quickly and leaving water spots. If you must do it in the sun, keep rinsing the car as you go round and keep it wet. If you let water and or soap suds dry on the paint, you're just making your own life harder! Your basic wash is now done, but if you go for the wheel woollies, do the wheels first or last, but seperate to your paint. NEVER mix anything that goes on your wheels with anything that goes on your paint, hence the separate wheel bucket and woollies above. NEVER put your paint washmitt in the wheel bucket or on your wheels, the dirt on wheels is metallic and will scratch your paint for fun. Enjoy
  13. There's some favourites in here http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/100787-one-stop-guide-for-a-proper-wash/ The Megs stuff is good and the 3 step system is dead easy to get straight into. Detailing sub-forum here too - http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/23-car-detailing/
  14. Colour is stunning and the car's not too shabby either. Congrats
  15. I know what you mean about mixing up your viewing and reading by including foreign sources, and I totally agree, but Russia Today is directly Russian government funded propaganda. They don't even bother to pretend it's not just the media wing of the Kremlin
  16. I'd buy into that argument if I believed savings will go on the NHS (amongst other things) rather than a cut in corporation tax. Also, politicians in Brussels are elected. That's just a flat out lie.
  17. Even if you were to change, wouldn't you go straight into a 3 month probationary period anyway? We weren't keen on them when I was in secured lending. Sit tight and wait for the right job. Good luck.
  18. Tell that to my wife. I've tried, but she makes me wear a ball gag. I'm here all week.
  19. I thought that at first, but then I clocked it twice and thought I'd missed something

    BMW E89

Those cockpits do look nice places to be. Shame BMW can't liven up the headunits, they always look so basic. Can't see where your scissors go though?
  21. Fair enough, I'm with you on 30 yr secrecy BS. Totally stinks.
  22. Nice! Looks like the paint's been well looked after.
  23. This is a genuine question. Do you think a UK - US trade deal negotiated by the Tories, known for their love of privatisation and deregulation of markets, would genuinely secure a more favourable deal for the UK, as an individual nation, than as part of the EU block?
