  1. Big Shout for ZMANALEX, Couple of pm's to the man and he sorted me out with the part i needed to get my Z running again, Posted yesterday and arrived this morning, Fitted and working fine. The man is a legend.
  2. Morning forum guru's, I have been running my Z most days due to the spell of good weather we have been having and the car has been running good, This morning however it is totally dead, No ignition lights or alarm led............... I have swapped batteries for a known good one and still dead, On closer inspection and a test with my multimeter i found that the 120a fusible link on the positive side battery connector has blown, It is a soldered link and looks like i need to swap the entire connector block. Is this correct? Or can i get the correct amperage link and solder it myself? Any advice on this will be greatly appreciated.
  3. Most of these thermal devices are made by a company called FLIR http://www.flir.com/store/
  4. Was it an up-rev map you had done Colin747? I have been in talks with Chris over the past few days and still undecided.
  5. Are these spacers branded mate? What make are they?
  6. Never plugged a scanner in, I have one but didn't use it.
  7. Well I am officially P*****D right off with my Z, I have tried all the afore mentioned methods of starting again and again, No joy. Put a brand new battery in it today and guess what........................IT STILL WONT START. Going to get the car recovered tomorrow to a local garage and let them sort it out
  8. So to rule out a bad battery, If i take the battery out of the loop and connect my heavy duty jump leads directly to the car leads and jump from my x5 then this would show battery failure............. or not as the case may be.
  9. Have shifted gearshift back and forward mate still no joy.
  10. Engine was running fine when i got to work that morning Where is the inhibitor switch and what does it inhibit? Battery is in good nick, Showing 12.7v at rest, If it was a battery problem then surely it would go with a jump start from another vehicle? Terminals are all good Dont know where to find earth straps Goosed starter i feel is the main candidate
  11. Well i have tried the " Hammer ten bells out of it " method but still no joy so going to have to get the Z recovered to my local spanner man. Solenoid is still clicking but starter not cranking at all. Thanks again for the forum input.
  12. That was my next move Alex, I have a plan with a long solid bar through the nearside wheel arch. I did mention to you in a pm that it was a JDM auto.
  13. Thanks for the offer Alex but my Z is a triptronic/auto, If i was able to get it going then and get it home i would certainly attempt to get the starter out myself, It is the location of the car that is the problem at the moment.
  14. I Live in Kirkcaldy Alex but the car is stranded in Freuchie on the a92 KIrkcaldy to Dundee.
