I have to say I have no knowledge of the building industry but after close scrutiny of the recent photos that chap in the blue caravan wearing glasses is definitely poring over the plans!

Apparently there is is a skills shortage so I think you guys are in safe hands............

Few roots out first

S1051067_zps50eojavr.jpg

Then I persuaded the shed it should be in the next door neighbors garden

Evening all, Time for an update :)

Phase 1 - New Kitchen - Complete (Wife Happy)

Phase 2 - New Utility Room - Complete (Wife very happy)

Phase 3 - Remove old attached garage/Utility room, move boiler etc - Complete - well except a bit of render and the toilet needs a new sink)

Onto Phase 4 the more interesting bit and we get to play with big boys toys

The boys started on Monday, we (Mrs K and myself) had already cleared the site

S1051081_zpsxt5ldgtt.jpg

In a day we had 6 x 20 Ton trucks loaded and gone - awesome work :)

All dug down up to the old camo shed base which was previously a subterranean green house

Today Andy and I came across something that surprised us slightly well a lot to be honest,

It was more a bunker than a green house - check out the amount of concrete we found :scare:

We have been up against it today as removing an underground nuclear bunker was not part of the site clearance budget!

But as you can see with proactive organisation, the correct tools and some bloody minded determination we won!

Makes you wonder what kind of person wants and builds a greenhouse like that! Eeeek!

Epic days progress today,

I took a day of work and alongside Andy James we broke the back of the site prep

first load out -

S1051089_zpsiwy1b5lh.jpg

This guy can shift some big slabs

S1051090_zpsdbc4f8mn.jpg

our grab driver was Ellliot and hats of he goes the extra mile, nothing was to much trouble he knows his machine and how to use it and even cleared/built a dumping ramp each time he took a load out, hats of to the man.

More soil out

S1051094_zpsbwaztudy.jpg

The totals were

12 x 20 ton trucks each carries approx 16 tons so 192 Tons of soil

2 x 20 ton and 1 10 ton truck load of concrete so - 42 tons of concrete blocks and rubble

a grand total of 234 tons :scare:

Moving on Andy had to say goodbye to his little pecker today

S1051091_zpsllj390is.jpg

It was worked hard yesterday though!

So at the end of the day we have -

S1051095_zpsykaj0hx3.jpg

S1051093_zps9bzn4z7u.jpg

S1051092_zpso9mh0uaz.jpg

Even did a bit of pegging out

S1051097_zps64g4uwg5.jpg

S1051096_zpsgafewkfo.jpg

Proper mark out and start digging the footings tomorrow :yahoo:

More Soon.
