Personally I think I'll be going for another BMW E46 330Ci sport, facelift. Top motor in my opinion and a good all rounder for a decent amount of money these days.

I think I'd still need a second car though.

Dont think I could go to that, SMD would be on my back day and night with the jokes

I take your point Ricey - but struggling to find something I like which is newer, in my self inflicted hard budget.

We could have one each :winkiss:

I was looking at an 850ci t'other day. Am I mad?

They're so purdy...

Not mad at all, I also think they look really purdy :)

Lol, desperately trying to convince my mum that she needs to replace her ageing XJ8 with a DB9 atm, think I'm getting close! Better that than an XK I think, which is the other choice.

It's a shame the 850CSi's are so much money. Nearly 400bhp in a v12 back then must have been insane!

Nah, they were only around the 320bhp mark and the car weighed nearly two tonnes, so not really that quick at all. IIRC even the CSi was only 380-ish.

Has anyone mentioned the Subaru Legacy? They come in under £6k, kinda rare and have a fair bit of power for an estate? Plus all the room you need :)

and look like a block of wood

I guess that's subjective but it meets his criteria I think? Something to look at anyway.

Little bit too common for my liking, like something a bit different that stands out from the crowd. Would have considered a Mk1 Focus RS but prices are rocketing!
