DoogyRev Posted July 11, 2012 Author Posted July 11, 2012 Canada is gorgeous! Where abouts ate you? What you doing out there work wise? I am in Vancouver ..... and the house and job hunting starts next week Quote
bronzee Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Looking forward to the winter 3 foot deep of snow pics. Has the homesickness set in yet? Quote
Chris`I Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Canada is gorgeous! Where abouts ate you? What you doing out there work wise? I am in Vancouver ..... and the house and job hunting starts next week After getting a new bike When you have it all down to a T let us know and we'll move over there too. If you can find me and Amanda a job too that would be grand. Quote
DoogyRev Posted July 19, 2012 Author Posted July 19, 2012 Ok, so we have a house now......... Its been a little miss treated by previous tenants, so we got a really good deal with a months free rent if we clean and paint it So this is the view out of the lounge towards the back of the house.... Barbecue will be on the deck Pic form the Deck This is the rest of the garden.... all 7.5 Acres of it Now you may think that 7.5 acres is a lot to manage, well the house also comes with a Gardener According to him we will most likely have the odd Bear or Coyote passing though Inside the we found this A very cool retro intercom that has a receiver in every room and at the front and back doors, and will blast out the radio from each one I also have a potting shed Our internet will be connected on Sunday hopefully, so more updates after then Like I say, its rubbish here and you would all hate it Quote
Wasso Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 That potting shed is probably bigger than our house Looks real nice, but with Bears in the woods, does that mean you'll now need a big gun for protection. Glad things are going well, and to be fair England still looks better Quote
Will370z Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Was that a grizzly i can see in the background in one of those shots ? Very nice, looks great. Booking my ticket to come and stay as we speak Quote
ChrisS Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 The things you have to put up with. Sure them boys down south would turn up for "a house painting party" And a potting shed with a boat, and a boat+Canada = salmon fishing (just for the BBQ of course) Keep enjoying. Quote
Ebized Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Now lets get to where it matters - is the 370 is hiding in the garage Quote
SteveW Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Awesome! If your around Van they'll prob just be black bears so no issues. Just watch out for the cougars! Now they are what you have got to be wary of, they have stalked cyclists, horse riders and hikers for hours before having a go. I'm sure you knew that anyway. When I lived in Whistler there were about 5 attacks in 12 months. Quote
HEADPHONES Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Dead jealous of your carport and garage. Car permanently in the shade protected from tree sap and uv. Detailing possible day or night whatever the weather Quote
MWTech Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 very impressed, canada looks great anytime iv ever seen photos. love the house, location lakeside and views out back. my mate was in canada a few years ago, said it was great Quote

Stew Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Just watch out for the cougars! Now they are what you have got to be wary of, they have stalked cyclists, horse riders and hikers for hours before having a go. I'm sure you knew that anyway. I was stalked by cougars in nightclubs a few times back in the day.... Quote
AK350Z Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Very nice, just need some dirt jumps in the yard Quote
glrnet Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Stew apparently knows all about dirt jumps ^^ Very nice, just need some dirt jumps in the yard Quote
Cragus Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Great house mate! I would of went for two months free rent but then I am a cheeky bas**** So are you renting for the settle in period with a view to buying? Very jealous - looks epic! When you bring your favourite members a souvenir back this is what I envisage: Jack and Victor on return from Canada - skip to 27:40 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0p4Z1gF_rDQ Quote
