Davectr Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 What are people’s thoughts on this spoiler on my roadster? Thought about doing it before but decided not to, now toying with the idea again. The spoiler would need modifying to fit, would reduce the angle when altering it so it sits a bit flatter and the ‘pointed wings’ (if that makes sense) point more forward than downwards Quote
HEADPHONES Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 (edited) A definite YES from me By the way...... loving the concave rims! Edited January 26, 2019 by HEADPHONES 1 Quote
Ekona Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 I’m okay with that too. And normally I’m picky as hell with spoilers on convertibles Quote
LRF4N Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 Never liked that on a 350, awkward shape for a spoiler with that rectangular base, and angle was wrong like you say. Didn’t flow at all for me Not convinced on a 370, but you never know. Any other angles? Quote

As I said, it will need modifying to make it fit. Unfortunately I only have that pic, someone on another forum did a photoshop for me Quote
nissanjuke Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 nice I see you still have my car ,and I would alter as you suggested to stop it looking downward 1 Quote
Andy_Muxlow Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 Not a bad looking spoiler really. Might be nice on a 370Z. Quote
Ponsonby Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Not a fan to be honest. Ruins the lines of the car. Something more subtle may work better. To my eyes you have a car with nice curved lines and then a very angular spoiler. Quote
coldel Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Not for me either, nice flowing smooth lines suddenly come to an abrupt halt with a spoiler from a 350z. Also hides the nice 'lumps' you see in the lines behind each seat. Just looks a bit amateurish bolting on an old spoiler to a newer car. Quote
LRF4N Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 If you really want a spoiler go for a ducktail. Made for the 370 not the 350 Quote
coldel Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Would it interfere with the boot opening? Looks like it would drag down the sides? Quote
ATTAK Z Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Yeah if done well it could look good ... somewhere to put the sandwiches when picnicking ... 1 Quote

sipar69 Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Agree with those who said it spoils the lines. Quote

Sim Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 I've been looking for a spoiler for my wife's 370z roadster as well, got to be honest, I don't like how that looks. Quote
Davectr Posted January 29, 2019 Author Posted January 29, 2019 Opinions seem to be split down the middle. Now you know why I’m struggling to decide . How about something like this? Would this type be a more popular option. Can I just state, I’m not looking for ‘approval’, I want to add a spoiler but just genuinely can’t decide which style to go with Quote
Wheels 370z Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 Definitely better than the first option imo. Quote
coldel Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 Yes much better, I think in this case where the car styling has very distinct lines subtle is better. 1 Quote
