Greetings from a New Nismo Owner.

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

I've been lurking around and reading the forum for a few weeks and it's great to see such a pleasant social aspect, interwoven with a wealth of information.

I'm a first-time Z owner, although I've been lucky enough to own a fair few cars that wouldn't look out of place in Fast Cars magazine. Maybe I'll write up a car history in another sub-forum at some point.

Anyway, I'm an F1 engineer by trade, I live in Oxfordshire and I'm cruising quickly through my forties - much to my chagrin. My wife drives a 2016 Nismo Juke and I've recently obtained a 2017 370Z Nismo. Both are resplendent in Storm White.

I look forward to getting to know you all.

Nex.

Thanks for the welcome!

To answer a few questions...

I work at Renaultsport F1 team and have done since the Renault F1 Team days in 2006 (the World Championship seems such a long time ago), through the highs and lows of the Lotus F1 years, and on to the current resurgence* under French ownership.

I live near the factory at Enstone, though I'm from Southampton originally and get down that way frequently.

I don't have any plans to mod in the immediate future, though I'm going to have to do something about the wheels. I'm finding one in particular is getting a lot of damage to the edge simply from crap on the road.

I can't believe there's another white one so nearby - I don't think I've ever seen a Nismo II on the road - howmanyleft.com suggests there's only about 150 in the country.

Again, cheers for the welcome.

*Resurgence in respect to factory and infrastructure, if not yet results!
