zebedy Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 As my car is currently in bits with most of the panels off the car, I thought it was a good oppertunity to mess around with the wing mirrors. So attacked it with an angle grinder and fitted these from behind. Hope you all like. just a test fit at the moment but you get the idea. These will be painted cookie monster blue as with the car then half wrapped in carbon with the indicators tinted. If there is enough interest, I may off to do this service for ya all if I'm 100% happy with mine. 4 Quote

edenc Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Whoa! Nice! There's a danger of LED mods looking takky IMHO, but not that one. Kudos for having the testicles to take a grinder to the mirror housing too. Is there much space to get the wiring into the door panel and down to the loom? Quote
ZEUS Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Very nice, I keep looking at this mod myself. Quote
veilside z Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 They make Z mirror covers with led's built in as a aftermarket part on Ebay US. Good work there buddy Quote
Ebized Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 like this Thought you might, seeing you just love to get your angle grinder out....... Quote

Easty Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Looks smart!! Are you blanking off the standard side indicators? Quote
Madhatter Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 (edited) Actually tried this with same indicator lights awhile back. But didn't like how much they stuck out and looked aftermarket. Tried then cutting a groovd in wing mirror for lights but can't get clean enough evenue filling so gave up! Lol now got motorcycle wing mirrors to fit Glad you're happier - amazing to think no one is really doing this - and the us ones are gash Edited November 13, 2015 by Madhatter Quote
Richie94gts Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Opened this warily, expecting them to look awful - so easy to get wrong...but they look really nice - good job! Quote
jimmy.farrow7 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Looks very smart mate well played for attempting it Quote
Silverman Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 Great look. I know this is an old thread but I’m thinking about doing something similar. Where are the lights from that we’re used please? Quote
