  1. They were my first potential source given previous reports but each time I checked they did not have the sizes I needed for the 370 in stock - so they lost out to mytyres who had then in stock. I couldn't fault mytyres in the order/delivery process and when you are spending near on £800 and they are just a few quid dearer than Camskills..........
  2. Welcome to the forum Think you might have just upset Hugh about his beloved babies (wheels). Never mind, he has sold them and the car for an AM, but I think he still lusts after a ZED really
  3. Did you have to sign any worksheet (and given a copy) when handing the car over - if so check the small print. Otherwise, if they have done work off their own backs I would say that is their problem. Possibly, sounds like they may have 'assumed' the warranty would cover things and Nissan had said no - but that would be a schoolboy error on their part.
  4. Is this unused example any use - you will see it has a rather exclusive code Has the separate ADSL and phone ports. Can post it to you today Stew
  5. have to admit - kept waking up last night - is that normal !! ?? Absolutely! Enjoy, but remember those tyres are still new
  6. Pics would be good
  7. Welcome to the forum As the car is still under warranty I would get yourself along to a decent Nissan dealer to sort the problem. Best to go to a HPC centre really If you post up whereabouts you are (or add it to your avatar) someone local can advise
  8. We do try to please. Oh, and don't worry about your music - with the Scorpion system on that is the best music you will ever want to hear
  9. Picking up from what glrnet said, perhaps the advice in this thread and that by ZMANALEX might help? viewtopic.php?f=10&t=23104&hilit=heater+core&start=0
  10. Just come across these: http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INTERS ... onMenu=YES http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INTERS ... onMenu=YES (Bearing in mind the US models are a year ahead of Europe) OK, from over the pond - but do the NAVTEQ updates apply to Europe as well?
  11. Might like to try this that has worked on 370's: 1. press start/stop button twice to put it in pre-ignition mode 2. wait a short duration for solid airbag light to go dark, indicating it will soon flash 3. instantly press start/stop to turn off completely before it has a chance to flash 4. wait 5 full seconds 5. repeat steps 1-4 6. repeat steps 1-4 7. press start/stop twice 8. let it run through for a while now, should be in diagnostic mode and blinking more slowly than usual 9. press start/stop to turn it off 10. wait 5 full seconds 11. turn on, and good to go
  12. Guide for the 350's - don't know if the same procedure applies to the 370 though http://my350z.com/forum/audio-video-and ... ypass.html

    370Z prices

and then: You only live once, and if the £163 is there to run 340bhp rather than an oil burner now, why settle for half measures in the meantime If I had been a position to that at your tender age and having been a petrolhead all my life, 340 horses would not be waiting to be fed

Then a 370 is not for you, especially if it is to became your daily driver and high mileage - the experience will be spoilt worrying about the fuel costs, outweighing the factor
  15. And good to go, same/next day?
  16. No point having two threads on the same subject - see here: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=54210 This thread locked

    Engine Blown

You might like to read this recent thread about fitting a HR engine as a replacement for a DE engine. Would cost a whole lot more than the £2k you might be thinking about, aside from the aggravation viewtopic.php?f=31&t=54314&start=0
  20. Interesting vid there Toby. Be nice to see if Nissan have in mind the Daker and similar events, given other (rival) manufacturer participation

Someone has an awful of cash to burn
  22. I had got that Chris - just confirming to Roger what my issue was
  23. Colin, not wanting to go too far off-topic, but can I ask what your issues were. What was happening under braking (I guess) that was meant the brakes were to blame. My car does pull off centre quite badly when braking heavily but never dont anything about it - I was just wondering whether this is a similar problem to what you had (I've not had a alignment check done). That to me would sounds more like a geometry issue than the brakes, although could be one brake pulling more than the other. IIRC Colins issue was a warped brake which will give a pulsing feel when braking. This could have also been down to DTV but he will only know that whens he's put a few miles on the discs I guess. The principals of two independent and well-known garages on here, as well as ZMANALEX via converstaions, opined it was warped discs, nothing amiss with the suspension geometry. Having had the new discs on for about 3k miles I did notice a similar sensation has reappeared, but only after after giving the car a little exercise where our Scots members like to play Probably me resting on the brake pedal afterwards Largely cleared that with the brake bedding-in procedure - 8 hard stops from 60mph to 10mph with a decent cool-off period afterwards. Maybe it also is my driving style using the engine braking too much and and not the brakes hard enough at other times We shall see. And Chris/Stew are absolutely right about the Pistonheads trolling whilst both Chris and I from years of experience of a 350 and now a 370 are finding little difference in mpg between the two - which is good particuarly when we are both running around an extra 50bhp or so extra compared to the 350's and enjoying the syncro-rev match - something I notice the PH trolls were either completely silent about or more likely unaware of the joy it gives us 370 owners.
  24. Range of comments I would expect really - including yours A lot of by people who I doubt have driven one (or a 350) and that is where they are missing the car's strongest points, IMO. And this place has a lot to answer for - so many nice (and knowledgable) owners I have met over the years leading to great friendships that I hope will continue for years to come
