  1. Like Tescos? Care to explain how a mate of mine recently got an 18 month ban for doing some second gear donuts in a Tesco carpark after he got caught on CCTV? See here: http://www.rjerrard.co.uk/law/cases/clarke1.htm Many shades of grey on the interpretation but I would suggest that if a 'car park' displays a sign that it is private then I am quite sure a good lawyer would be able to get a prosecution of not complying with the Road Traffic Act set aside. But as retail parks/supermarkets etc by their very nature want the 'public' on their land then there is a risk the CPS would pursue a prosecution - in your friends case I would guess becaue there was a perceived risk to public safety.
  2. Having used the 452's on the 19" wheels I had on last 350 I would say go for 37, especially if you like to push on like SV
  3. If they are privately owned car parks that are directly accessible off a public highway, they do not count as "public". That said, insurance considerations can still apply and if the owners permission not obtained, there could be repercussions if caught - cctv has a lot to answer for I laugh, because when I use to compete in National autotests I would often 'test' changes/set-ups on the car and visit a local industrial estate when everyone had gone home, tut tut But no cameras around then But I cannot condone that now of course
  4. Sorry to hear you had to let your ZED go - you looked after it very well as I recall from the show display at the Pod last year
  5. Sadly, and despite my post above Sarnie is right, but.. He's all grown up now with family, but dabbled in a flash car on the way and still come out smiling the other end. Good luck to him Being at the other end of the age scale I went his route but couldn't afford the flash car midway, but now everything is paid off I can at least afford a ZED and nice holidays etc. My earnings were average from my twenties to fifties but there was no way a flash car was possible. So much will depend on your future earning prospects, but all I can say is if enjoying life is a priority for you remember you only live once and if renting for the foreseeable future means you can enjoy your passion I would say go for it - as you just don't know what the future holds and you may find yourself regreting you missed out. So many younger people are having to rent now, if not by choice, so use the money that Stew has rightly pointed out will come with keeping your own place, on what you enjoy. Or go sensible.
  6. Is happening when the air is still, or at least no appreciable wind blowing?
  7. Come on, you can do better than that you know you want it really but guess you have to say that to get a deal, eh
  8. Thats just like leaving cash on your car - easy pickings. Save them for the shows and make do with the black plastic ones otherwise.
  9. A ) Do I sell the Zed to buy something really nice but more economical? B ) Use the £2000 I have already and buy something cheaper and economical, sell the Zed to eliminate the loan repayments (almost entirely). This would require more time saving to get a deposit together. C ) Same as above but keep both cars D ) Use the £2000 to get the Zed LPG converted. Still have a nice car, costing less to run In order C. - B. - (if you want a life without ) A. - (you will soon reget that) D. - (utter and total waste IMHO)
  10. All white with that kit and wheels - looks the business. Good luck with the sale Taras
  11. Your take on the posting, not those of us in the team that are around. Look forward to seeing ideas that can hopefully be used now.
  12. We all push the boundaries and for some that will be too far and others not. There is no no way that image would be adopted as a smilie, on this forum at least. So lets get back to realistic suggestions or it will be moved to the Green Room which I am sure the OP would not prefer.
