  1. You would like to think an insurance company out there recognized what you were doing and say 6 months full insurance on each car on the road and 6 months theft only for the 6 months off the road. Dates specified. Link that with 6 months tax for each car (sorn when off the road) and it should mean the overall running costs for both cars over a year would be little more, maybe less, than what you currently pay. But I guess that is far too complicated for the Insurance companies computer systems to deal with
  2. The (19" ) Nismo's go on without spacers OK Not sure about the 18" rays though in terms of off-sets and bearing in mind the front calipers on the 370 are bigger than the 350. 18" wheels are standard fitment in the US though so I should hope they go on OK
  3. With that power to weight ratio I would expect the 0-60 time to be well under 3 seconds, given the various versions of the GTR35 are already capable of doing it in less than 4.
  4. 1 hr is plenty to swop out a starter motor on a N/A 350 Zed Especially if you have one of these in your garden
  5. It was all that power drifting that did it Never My minder didn't allow such driving ................especially after I had a good telling off after the Trossachs hairpins But then those series of bends there are just magic in the ZED Knockhill took its toll, particularly its hairpin But although there was some meat left on the Stones and well in excess of the legal limit, the grip I look for was beginning to go away so they had to go.
  6. The thing that has really helped RB of late is reliability which is no longer an issue for them (Kers apart). The cars have always been fast but no doubt the rules requiring engines/transmissions to last has meant a safey margin being built in that has undoubtedly had the desired effect for them. But I share the thoughts of many about the DRS that it is making overtaking just a little too easy at some circuits and maybe it is accounting for the some of the collisons we are seeing (Schmacher and Hamilton in yesterdays race) who are beeing 'fooled' in some of the other braking areas as to what retardation their cars can actually achieve
  7. 4 Ultrac Sessantas, now on in place of the RE050A's The Stones might have had a few more miles on them but with just under 13k miles and Autumn arived, as well as me wanting to see if the tramlining and cold weather wall stiffness of the 'summer' specification Stones could be addressed, I got the 4 Sessas from mytyres for for £763.80. Good hassle-free on-line service and delivered on time I haven't heard of anyone else yet using the Sessas on a 370 so will give some more feed back as the miles go on. I had looked at the Miches but first you canot get 245/40/19's in the supersports and moreover the 4 corners in the nearest spec was working out at over £1400 Yes, the (superseded?) PS'2's can apprarently be had with the correct profiles but they were not much cheaper. Mark at Abbey had suggested trying something without the longitudinal grooves to see if that helps to dial out the tramlining - and you know what in the 30 miles today there is already a big improvement . Grip levels are presently iffy though so looking forward to few hundred miles on them to test their limits and performance in the wet and dry. Noise levels already seem a little less - so another bonus and they come with the rim protectors (like the Stones) so initial findings are good I could have had a set of 452 Falkens, which I found were fine on the 350, but with Ekona's advice ringing in my ears and thinking of my budget the Sessa's appeared to fall between the two and as I have no (more) track time planned, the final decision was quite easy. But I do want to add that I was really pleased with Rocco (350 owner) and the guys at Total Tyres of Lodge Farm, Lodge Lane, Holmwood RH5 4NY who received the tyres and fitted them - rims looked after as you would expect - thank you glrnet for the recommendation and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the Surrey area on here who values their rims.
  8. I'd call that a fail - the dog looked decidely unimpressed Stevie - borrow Jays 'costume' from the Hoon - now with those legs that was
  9. +1 Mine has not taken me the wrong way yet..... Just make sure you know the full address of where you going and you wont go wrong +2 On the basis that if you are going somewhere new and will have the post code available you are also likely to have full address, which when put in the 370 sat nav (search town - road - house number) I have found the pre-dictive system quickly identifies the lcoation and the routing has not let me down yet. Having said that, I still find I check a journey length/time on the mobile mapping using the postcode for quickness
  10. Many congratulations and enjoy your drive in Wales
  11. You only got round to it after 8 months - and a long time to leave a 370 in one place
  12. Hmm, not often, I'm averaging 22 at the mo in all conditions Saw 31.6 mpg at the usual motorway speeds on the way up to Scotland then below 9mpg on Knockhill Usual average mpg around home area is 20mpg if I'm lucky - damn that syncro-rev
  13. Big +1 on your findings 13k miles on GUNS now, Ultrac Sesstanas going on next week then in for its P2 service and getting a price for respraying the sills not only to address the numerous stone chips but also to get a better paint match. The paint shop used by Motorline Nisssan at Tunbridge Wells is apparently familiar with the self-healing paint process. Once sprayed I will then get the sills done in clear wrap Just a few chips on the front end - nothing as bad as I had with my previous 350 though.
  14. Sadly, it is this kind of 'customer care' that drives Nissan's reputation down and does absolutely nothing to encourage people to stay with the brand. I'm not talking about those enthusiasts of us who put up with this inadequacy and will search out answers/parts/info from sources who do bother. But then we represent a small proportion of Nissan sales. But it will certainly put off those who have strayed into the brand only to find aftersales back-up is frankly a pile of rubbish. The repsonse andrew0401 got ought to be conveyed to that person who asked the question about being Nissan fans as the more feedback Nissan gets about its poor aftersales service realy does need to get through. But I'm not including the small number of Nissan dealers who do try to help us out BTW and are members on here or known to help members, but unfortunately there are a large proportion of dealers who have adopted Nissan's culture of 'don't care' that futher undermines Nissan's reputation. Gets off soapbox.
  15. That BM i8 concept shown in that link is rather nice
  16. Happy birthday to he that can't get enough of the cold and wet (spotted off the North coast of Scotland, Sept 2011 )
  17. Great pics - many of those you just have to have a second look, and maybe a third, and ......... must stop now
  18. No, see the amended advice by Chris`I near to the bottom of this thread: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=52618

  20. I should hope not with the car being only 3 weeks old. Is the air-con on? If it is, in my 370 the ambient temperature is noticeably cooler (I have not measured it) but as soon as you turn the air-con off you can feel the extra warmth. Having the air intake set to outside air rather than recirculating the air will also of course make it seem cooler. I simply up the temperature to whatever is needed - usually around 22 degrees according to the screen display and if I don't have the windows open the air-con is invariably on to give some 'fresh' air in the cabin and stop misting. I presume you have not installed something in the car that is conflicting with the two sensors - see page 4.13 of your handbook.
