  1. Quite - that is just silly money - if they kept below £50 I'm sure the volume they would sell would more than make up for the small profit by the few they are selling to those who have more money than................

  5. I think what the others have said about revenue collection is right as it sounds from your description that the first they had seen of your front end was when they went past with the blues and twos. I reckon they thought you had something to hide by being so brazen as to give them a look and thought as you had clocked them and had a fancy car we we will give him a tug to see what he must obviously be hiding.
  6. No it was not false actual event on a New York Highway but can't be ar$ed to dig out the link yet again but a search on here if anyone is desperate to know should find it.
  7. Reminds me of my embarrasment the day I picked mine up - of course the 370 needed petrol so drove into the station next door and looked for the petrol flap release presuming it would be like the two 350's I had before - could I find it...... . Then in drove the salesman and I asked sheepishly where the release was hidden. At which point he pressed the flap - hey ho
  8. Graham, can get buckets up there. IIRC this is the place that Colin got his http://www.fortaugustus.org/fort-augustus/enhanced/caledoniancanal.php Everyone gave the cars a quick wash before the drive out in '09 even though it was P'ing down That's the place (was selling their stock off then)........ that's us - well trained with the Welsh rain
  9. You can share mine for a half a bottle of whisky glrnet More seriously, no problems at FA Darren - the accommodation will lay on a hose and buckets. And I found other places we stayed at were happy to help out. As both of you must have the seats well forward - plenty of shoe/boot room behind
  10. Perhaps Pappa needs some company
  11. Last minute post moved here: That's what I call a proper thread hi-jack!
  12. New thread created - please do not start another offer on the back of somebody elses thread, rodgeevans
  13. You can change your posts and the thread heading - the latter is limited in what can be added

    Floor mats

Enough to get off their forecourt If it is empty and you want to fill up have a 100 notes ready
  15. WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU
  16. Careful, or you might end up on the same course as him

    Floor mats

No, they are optional extras including the thick boot mat although there is a thin standard boot mat supplied. Having said that I believe most of the dealer demonstrators do have them - mine did
  18. That is cool Shame it can't be used outside - great way to deal with the neighbours' cats
  19. You can adjust the volume for your phone in the cars settings to suit you/your phone, when the mobile signal strength allows its use of course. Having the phone in sight helps - to not answer those calls you don't want to and identify contacts who have not been 'beamed' into the car's memory for screen display. Brodit mount in mine:
  20. I tell you why (in our case) - because after 9 you are competing with the lane (isle) hogging mums (usually chatting with anyone and everyone they come across) and their out of control kids As well as their car door banging antics in the car park
  21. My Honda Jazz owning wife just tried to break my screen Neither she nor I in our sixities drive in that fashion although we similarly get irritated by such drivers, of all ages and in a wide range of cars. When I drive the Jazz I tend to get to get the look as I overtake - bloody hell, didn't know those things could do that
  22. As the Falkens have fairly soft side walls you might find raising the pressure above the 'standard' 35psi works better. I used to use about 37/38 in the 19" Falkens I had on the 350. Whether that suits 20" tyres I don't know as I guess the profile is lower so less sidewall. As being indicated above by others, experiment by gradually raising the pressures from 35 and trying on your favourite bit of road with a few demanding corners, which should reveal what suits
  23. Even though you dad will do the service for free, if he wrote out an 'invoice' on his headed paper with the list/cost of parts used and noted at the bottom FOC - family member, I'm sure that would count for as much, if not more than a dealer/independent stamp, to a future discerning buyer.

    drifting

Ken Block likes to do those, going backwards before the tyres finally bite for the forward momentum, but he's got two extra driven wheels to help
