  1. I have an 09 Ultimate in white (no decals). One of the things that I think really makes this particular version of the 370 is the different coloured interior (orange/tan seats and door panels). Really enhances the look of the car. I thought the Ultimate was yellow only? Yes they did come in other colours Chris - here is an example fopr sale http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2009-NISSAN-3 ... 0567638652 But Mr sipar69 without pics of your own car
  2. Can you get there on the 7th September when a few more of us will be there Shoukld be able to swing a Wed off, is that an evening too? Yep - 6-8pm
  3. Can you get there on the 7th September when a few more of us will be there
  4. Too right along there - concentrating on the speed, what with the Gatsos, mobiles and unmarked money makers that frequent the A217 between Banstead and Reigate
  5. Just one month to go now
  6. And I suspect the vast majority of drivers don't know that either. Examples: Motorway - set maximum speeds in all lanes - the outside lane gets held up so do all those on the inside lanes hold back so as not being seen to undertake? Same situation in average speed camera locations - the 'outside' lane choose to go slower than the average speed allowed - so do the inside lanes hold back. Of course, no to both Motorbikes on multi lane carriageways - traffic held up so they travel between the lines of traffic effectively undertaking the outer lanes - an offence? Lost count the number of times I have seen police motorcyclists doing that with no blues and twos going. Overtaking - the onus is on the overtaker to do it safely on the right. The clot in front then moves over to the right without looking - who's fault? So why should the same principle not apply if someone moves from an outside lane to an inner one without looking? How many times have we seen drivers of all vehicles taking out cyclists/motor cyclists by making a left-hand turn without checking to see if it is clear to do so. In my book it is clearly safer to carefully undertake a middle lane hogger if you come up on the inside lane rather than move over three lanes and back again - the chances are that clown is oblivious to other road users and is equally a danger to someone overtaking on the right on the left. Surely that is safer, providing you continue to stay on the inside lane of course? That said, I am conscious that in the eyes of most police if I do that undertake like that I will be the one 'pulled' for allegedly unsafe driving rather than the middle lane hogger being pulled for driving without due care and attention. Dual carriageways are often worse nowadays with clowns sitting in the outside lane often doing well under the legal limit so that queues build up with (understandably) by those on the inside lane unwilling to "undertake". The frustration that then builds up further down the queues has far more potential for an accident, rather than a careful undertake. Its about time the police used the camera systems to send tickets to the inconsiderate middle/outer lane hoggers. If they started to do that the message might start to get through.
  7. Real shame it has to go - hopefully the new owner wil love it the same as you have done and we continue to see you around on here and at meets as well as the new owner too Don't forget to give him a spotted card just before he drives off Oh, and if you take up Dave's offer remember to allow a few extra hours before you get home
  8. When you don't have SKY the outlay is significantly more for HD as their site says: " Sky+HD packages with the Sky Sports pack from £50 a month by direct debit". So now I have I am expected to pay at least £600 a year to watch half the F1 races Having ditched SKY about 3 years ago for a Humax digital HD box (about £300 one-off payment) at the current rates I am about £1500 in pocket. I had two SKY boxes fail on me when I did have their 'service' - which frequently crashed and with a call centre and call-out service I found appalling (the reason for ditching). Moreover I had a heap load of crap being offered -yes in much the same way as Terrestial TV has a heap load of crap, but then at least the yearly licence outlay is less than £200. And I have been to actual FI and circuit races and also stood out in forests on many occasions watching rallies but life moves on and to suggest that because people can't/won't go out to watch their chosen sports is derogatory to those who still have a passion for their sport that TV provides. No, the main culprits here are the likes of Bernie who charge the earth for the TV rights - and I don't see him having to tighten his belt in the present financial climate. Again its the ordinary Joe Public who is coughing up to make the rich richer. edit: and I wonder how many shares Bernie has in BSKYB
  9. +1 but afraid I do accept that Lewis said he did not see the Force India - again just another example of his impatience creeping in as there was a large gap just afterwards that he could have slotted into without drama. Di Resta is certainly proving his worth - I'm sure one of the main teams will have him signed up before long. Entertaining race though only spoilt by a combination of poor delivery by the director.................... and Brundle/Coulthard probably discussiing their futures rather than concentrating on the commentary
  10. Thread now locked as the wheels are sold
  11. Unless there was another 370 around, yes that was me between Burgh Heath and the Tadworth roundabout just before 11.30 Loaded with tools and bits on my way to Netherene on the Hill and my son's newly acquired house Didn't see you though - were you in your Sunset?
  12. Nice fishing rod The car looks good too
  13. Tell you what. Be nice and polite and offer him a ride and go to your favourite bit of road........ but put a seat protector on first Then see if opens his mouth again

I don't think you are defending the error Toby, but the fact is that is a misleading advert and could fool most into believing they are looking at something special and especially at the advertised price as that is way over what new discounted 370's are selling for which implies to me the person starting the ad process thought it was a Black Edition. (Benefit of doubt there). As Chris says, even enthusiasts have difficulties understanding all the 350/370 model variations so those new to ZED ownership would be in an even worse position. As the black editions are the most prized versions and rarely available, potential customers could be a making a hasty long trip to view the car so as not to lose the purchase opportunity only to be highly disappointed when they got there. Of course I am not suggesting that was the purpose by the ad but it would not be the first time....... A word in someone's ear who has clout in Nissan is due me thinks
  15. Unless it's black, then it might be the most pointless mod ever You could have a white wrap, or even red to match your calipers
  16. Just spotted something. I do not have the connect premium in mine and if you look at the phone button you will see the graphics are different to the MY10 370's that have the connect premium - so that is a quick visual reference
  17. All he needs now is a good 350 to play with I can just see martinmac and Lexx arguing on the bridge when the next ban opportunity comes along, and with the spammers chancing their arms these days that could be quite often

I guess when it came to the limited "me time" it was no contest between keeping the ZEDs engine bay looking good and moderating the dawg, there was no contest More seriously, thanks for your work and support and perhaps when your present housebuilding is done you can come out of retirement on here
  19. Here is something to get you started viewtopic.php?f=17&t=23843 Loads of other info too if you do a search
  20. Having been told the Prima's are good boilers and will last ages, blah, blah,... I suppose the fact it has given trouble free service over the 19 years made me hopeful a fix was available. It has never locked out and hs always kicked into life - sometimes almost straight away but at other times it may be the 10th attempt before it catches and 'fires up'. But something is not right and of course I would rather get it sorted before winter arrives
  21. Don't you find that whenever you drive in an unfamilier area the 'locals' are invariably exceeding the 30mph limits and get quite agitated if they have to follow you at the legal limit? That has been all too apparent in numerous visits to Wales in recent years with the tell-tale Welsh flags on cars letting others know. On our drive-outs in Wales we have certainly made a point to ensure the speed limits in the 30/40 zones are respected as there so that a convoy of ZEDs attracts the right attention rather than otherwise.
  22. Think we all know that in Oz the boys in blue can be very unforgiving if you exceed the limit when the signs require a drop in speed. But its much 'fairer' there as virtually everywhere there are warning signs of the forthcoming change and so there is no excuse if you are over the limit as you are given ample time to slow. Here the advanced warnings are very limited - it is a shame it was not mandatory for all highway authorities to provide these instead of the sudden change from 60 to 30, 40 to 30 or whatever.
