  1. I know how you feel - my step mother (who passed away) got alheizmers and was absolutely furious when the Doc confirmed she could no longer drive as she did not recognize the symptons, but it had to be done. Older age inevitably leads, or can lead, to slower reactions, poorer eyesight/hearing/senses but when it does that can vary so much from one person to another. It is also obvious that come retirement car choice is usually restricted due to price/running costs and inevitably leads to smaller and dare I say more basic cars that means their pace on the roads and making manoeuvres is often frustrating and can even be frightening, as the examples above reveal. Tolerance of other road users, even learner drivers, can often seem questionable and that creates an "us and them" that can lead to bad driving through frustration. But we also need to remember car insurance premiums reflect the inexperience factor for new drivers or known risks and oldies will get their premiums hiked in the same way as their health and travel insurances, until it is no longer viable. But as hard as it is, yes it often does mean close family members are the ones who normally have to say when they should stop driving and I am dreading the day that happens to me. And that is going to happen to everyone else on here at some point in time, so enjoy your driving while you can.

    350z seats

There have been issues with the heated seats since the ZED was released - general consensus is that they are poor compared to likes of Audi etc and as far as I can recall no definitive answers to where problems lie although faulty sensors, trapped looms (under the seat/s) have been been blamed. One suggestion I saw was someone even thought the amount of heat was linked to the climate control setting so if you had the windows down that would increase the seat heat couple of threads where the queries were debated: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=29678&hilit=heated+seat+working viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18158&hilit=heated+seat+working&start=0 As regards the differing seat controls I believe they have changed as the ZED has evolved. The 370 has full electric control for the passengers seat as well as the drivers seat, probably because the storage locker is no longer behind the seat. The drivers seat has the two knurled side knobs, one for raising/lowering the squab and one for tilt. There is also a lever on the side of the backrest for the lumbar support. The passenger's seat does not have those. If I'm honest I found the 350GT seats a tad more comfortable for my hips and although it is said the 370 seats are supposed to be the same as the 350 ones they are not and also evidenced by the absence of the little side storage trays.

  8. Registered as a demo by Crawley Downs Nissan some 3 months before I bought it, so that was a bonus
  9. Now which way do I vote....... Oh, guess I'll be excluded
  10. Might want to try an ecu reset that has often cured gremlins like yours: viewtopic.php?t=89
  11. Easy mistake - as Wasso found out on the last Wales weekend.
  12. Slammed this far http://www.benzworld.org/forums/attachm ... 2641pm.jpg
  13. I'm glad you wrote that down as if you had spoken it to me I probably wouldn't have understood a word, in your dialect, about what you had said But agree 100% with your sentiments and very much looking forward to some driving with you in Scotland again in September
  14. +1 Very, Very unlikely to be a cat, they simply don't have the strength or weight to scratch down to the metal and even if they did they can't just open one claw at a time so there would be some evidence of light parallel scratching. Seeing as your car is black there would also be very obvious footprints as well, I can always tell when one's been on my car . Pete I would agree Pete from my experience of the little frickers
  15. Welcome back to the forum couple of black rose 370 roadsters here .........OR DON'T OPEN IF YOU WANT A SURPRISE viewtopic.php?f=70&t=34552&hilit=Black+rose+roadster

  17. +1 for many of us, whether we stay with ZEDs or otherwise
  18. Difficult times Chris, but good to see you are remaining positive and although we haven't had the opportunity to get to know one another, I respect your dedication to the forum and particularly having seen what you went out of your way to do at the Wales wekend. Like many others have found, the biggest downside of the ZED is the lack of rear seats when family needs dictate but as you are obviously a petrolhead through and through thank you for your loyalty to this forum and what you have set as a very high standard for other Traders. Onwards and upwards as they say
  19. Great news for you and future Mrs - sounds all good and someone here will be lucky enough to get your ZED as well Only downside is having to put up with Graham visiting you out there reeling off all the latest mods he has done (that he said he wouldn't)
  20. I'm liking that, thanks for the pic. So that's another little mod for me - do they just pull off to get sprayed or are there nuts behind the bumper? Thanks Heres a starter for badge removal and what is underneath viewtopic.php?f=26&t=30328&hilit=badge+removal
  21. Not a bit surprised that it did not hang around for long as that is such a great GT4 - so congratulations to the very lucky new owner and or course a sad day for you and Sam the car is no longer with you and pleased you have had no hassle with the sale
  22. Where we draw the line is those who simply use the site as a free advert board to sell what-have-you. Is that what you are saying i have done?? It is a general message to anyone reading this thread as I am afraid we do get quite a lot who try it on and don't get past go, but it was allowed on the basis you appear to have a genuine interest to acquire a 350 so we now wish you luck in that objective.
  23. It does sound and look the part though
