  1. No problem. You can find a lot of the info online, then just pick up a cheap old 2600 series router and a switch (3500 series will be a couple of quid) from ebay for a home lab and get learning to cover the basics. Cisco provide guides on how to pretty much configure all the stuff, you just have to get your head around the terminology and what you want to achieve. The courses them selves will be of benefit on a cv, the exam cert a much better benefit, and of course real world exp miles better.
  2. By currently doing network design I guess you mean more at the physical layer? CCNA will cover some of that and rest of the OSI model, with plenty of stuff at layer 3 which is where a lot of people think of networks as happening. The course(s) content covers all the fundamentals - ICDN1 is basically networking 101, with ICND2 covering more routing and how to actually manage and configure the kit. Some of it will be teaching you to suck eggs considering your experience, but some will be new and will help you take a slightly different career direction.
  3. Out of interest - how do you find the Alfa GT? I fell in love with the looks of the Blackline edition a few years ago but didn't quite give in to it.
  4. Sounds like I need to have a word with friend about Angus steak then. Now Gaucho I like, as much as Argentinian politics are silly the steak is nice. Prices will range from about £25 to £100+ for something special. However they know their meat and how to cook it . If in doubt just go to Nandos and Waterloo has a burger chain owned by a clown or something.
  5. It depends on how much you make a month. The view and drinks are good but you won't often get into the bar without a dinner reservation, or maybe I've just been in on the wrong occasion. Of course you should try taking your girlfriend up the Oxo Tower at some point in your relationship, but perhaps on a special occasion unless she really really enjoys that kind of thing. View from the Tate is almost as good. Oyster is def worth it. V & A and Natural History museums are good, and free. Science museum is generally full of kids. Harry Potter wise - you can find platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross.
  6. Awesome Asian food can be found at Ping Pong which is a pretty stylish restaurant by the royal festival hall, pretty much on your door step. Also forget the OXO tower and head further along the south bank for the Tate Modern, the bar and café\restaurant on the top floor is open fairly late has awesome views for about a 1/3rd of the price. The beer garden setup at the Udderbelly comedy festival, also on southbank by the London eye is also pretty cool and a bit different. Loads of patio heaters too you'll appreciate at this time of year. Head over to Leicester Square and Piccadilly for random bars and restaurants - a friend rates the Aberdeen Angus steakhouse and there are some decent Irish bars around there too.
  7. Wait just a second... The wedding is in August and you're planning the outfit in April? Just chill and relax until July 30th.
  8. I'm with Vik on this. Shoes, black, highly polished - sixty percent of the time it works every time.
  9. A pretty well spec'd and priced motor - GT pack, PDC, Sat Nav and then... Lambo doors. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350Z-3 ... 026wt_1252 I'm just not sure I could ever get out of it with a straight face..
  10. I wouldn't bother with claiming the VAT back, but would pay myself the £0.45 per mile that HMRC allows from company funds - saving on the CT element. Otherwise you're looking at some horrible calculations and probably not going to be much better off. If your VAT reclaimable purchases are not huge you should consider joining the Flat Rate Scheme..
  11. Ha, I can't find the similie for a complete lack of surprise A similie (sic) would be to say your as surprised as a not very surprised thing. To say I'm as surprised the council would be a poor one. A smilie would cool though. Happy to help. Chap
  12. Just saw a trailer on Sky(?) for Gadget Geeks at 20:00 tonight, focus is on fast road cars - had a Zed in the shot for the trailer. I thought the real Zed fetishists may enjoy watching. edit: nothing to see here, Dave's gone mad I tell you.
  13. If it is due to it being over worn then they probably have a case. Ask the dealer if they want to repair. Negotiate around flat out refusals. Ultimate last resort - get quotes from a few places, go with most reasonable and invoice them, follow up with small claims.
  14. You're onto something with that idea, I think it just stands out too much from the rest of the interior. It might work well in life however, and would make a good canvas for some custom lighting mods too.
  15. Cow with holes in batman! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-57-NISSA ... 374wt_1252 Bargain for someone... I can't decide if I like the leather though :\
