  1. I hate to rain on your ideas, but having told us your engine is consuming a lot of oil you really ought to get that addressed before spending money on performance mods, as I am sure Mark at Abbey will tell you. Just hate to see someone wasting their money on cart before horse, if you get my drift
  2. So presumable you don't have the connect premium on your car then? Correct - no touch screen
  3. My 2009 GT has a 6 CD disc system - same as the 350's but I so miss the tape deck
  4. Just Got 4 of Vred's finest for the 370 from MyTyres - maybe not the cheapest but easy site to search and buy and delivered to my fitter of choice with no problem. Checking their site, 2 x 225/45/18 and 2 x 245/45/18 the total price delivered is £584.40, as something to compare with.

    VQ35HR Engine

absolute non-starter mate - the HR engine is 80% different from the DE, apart from all the other changes Mark (Abbey) has listed and the need for a 'humped' bonnet for it to fit
  6. But I was on a recce in the Elan Valley area for the Wales drive in May

    VQ35HR Engine

At least us HR owners can rest a little easily now that coope046a has clarified his engine - sorry about that potential lost business you saw coming Mark
  8. Simple answer is that winter and ZEDs are not good bedfellows. 6 years of ZED ownership has proved that - period. And I do not shy away easily - Wales, March 2010 But if you have to use the ZED in winter - yes a set of winter tyres is better than the stock Bridgestones/Michelins PS2's (or Supersports) etc as they are classed as summer tyres.
  9. Your need has been conveyed to Alex, who is probably also under his ZED at the moment as I got his voicemail
  10. The VIN on my first (2004) ZED was: JN1GAA233U0006697. That was, without question, a UK car. The fact the VIN plate on yours starts Z33, and noting what Nixy says about hers, suggests it might be an import but it has all the looks of a UK car Wiki says production of the 350s started in August 2002 and I'm sure we have seen members on here with '52 plated UK cars But given the 'first registration' was not until 2005, in your case makes me wonder whether it was exported somewhere else first off - I recall we had a strange one a few years back with one that had originated from Cyprus which r/h drive

I hope you do not mean the ZELE
  12. Welcome to the forum The ZED is Temper Orange, rather than "Russo" red (Rosso). Another Nissan dealer who do not know much about ZEDs. The reduced price is not bad and there must be room for negotiation there as the market is very slow

When I win the lottery that is the kit going on mine I quite like the look of the quad exhaust, but I believe these are just for show in this case ? Oh no its not: http://www.zeleperformance.com/en/parts ... /item.html But £3,322.09

    VQ35HR Engine

I wondered who might pick up on that but there is only so much time you spend hunting down these pics At least the negine itself is the same.

    350 to 370

Its one group higher - but with such widely varying insurance quotes, case of picking that company that suits you and for most on here with mods not being stung silly money is all important. That's not to say I loved my previous 350's but having had two of those having had the 370 for over 18 months it is a very worthy successor IMO

    350 to 370

100% the right decision. End of +1 - with a decent exhaust on it though so its sounds like a sports car

    VQ35HR Engine

its an hr car he has but was looking for a cheap engine and thought de would be a cheaper option. Are we sure its a HR?? The only pic coope046a has posted of his car is the one in his avatar and I can't see the bonnet hump there. Even if its not his car in that pic, we know its an import - coope046a's very 1st post: hi guys iv just got a 350z and iv got two big questions. 1st is what could be the cause to my car burning oil and making a lot of smoke when i put my foot down and secound is how do i remove the 112mph limit on the top end? Later coope046a posts up: hi i got a HKS SLD type 3 the other day and was woundering how it connects up, if anyone can help that would be great? thanks and having seen a wiring diagram, coope046a said: my connections are different, i think mine is the VQ35HR not the VQ35DE. Do you have the diagram for that please? From there coope046a appears to have assumed its an HR engine he has................ And I think we know few HR engined imports came here due to the exchange rates when that engine was first released in 2007. So, coope046a, I think to help you properly can you confirm which engine yours looks like: DE engine: HR engine:

NEW SOUTH WALES numberplate is a bit of a give-away Slammed - it would be in dear old humpland Blighty
  20. Got two sets in my 370 with average sized bags and each with stand supports. Need to take out the woods though and lie them behind the bracing bar
  21. That's the road that runs from Betwys-Coed through Penmachno and joins up with the Ffestiniog moors at Pic 15, the one where Bob looks to be sitting on top of a miniture house . Not for the faint hearted, narrow bumpy, loose sheep, blind bends and even worse blind brows. Not too many passing places either. The other single track road is a real stunner, runs from just outside Bala over the mountains to Lake Vyrnwy , not been over there in 20 years but it still looks just like I remember it. Nice set of photos Pete One of the few roads I have not tried in the area for the Wales drives. Would love to use the B4407 that runs roughly parallel to that road which is a corker for one or two Zeds, but unsuitable for a convoy of ZEDs unfortunately. In fact the loop including B4407, then the evo triangle round onto the B4501, A4212, and B4391 (the latter two roads and the evo being familiar for those who have done the Wales drives) offers a great variety of great driving roads that I guarantee will offer a lot of 's for those who love the Welsh roads In fact with this weather I am very tempted to take run up there just to enjoy that route again and of course my favourite 13 miler through the Elan Valley And as we all love pics: A4241 towards Ffestiniog Evo Triangle In the Elan Valley Across Lake Vyrnwy Dam Elan Valley - beginning of the 13 miler (2009 recce - excuse the ***** after air was taken as maintaining 60mph along here is a great challenge in a ZED )
  22. tit, tut, family forum remember Chris Anything other than a Raleigh, and I'm lost
  23. My lucky day today - 370 in for a service and given a 370 roadster (latest version with just 500 miles on the clock) to use I have never owned or driven a convertible before (other than on track at performance days) so a real bonus with the weather today. First impressions - its a damn sight easier to get in and out with no roof up - I see why Will350Z likes his so much for that reason alone But being 6'2" I was also aware of the sun blinding me where the roof wasn't, if you get my drift Been promised a 370 limited edition GT to try next time I'm there so I can properly compare the suspension changes First class service and help again from Motorline Nissan at Tunbridge Wells
