  1. Try looking on YouTube under "creaking 350Z drop links" as there is a video of a Zed with very creaky drop links, this will guide you, if this is your problem.
  2. I've seen these on fleabay, although not for a few months.
  3. Definitely standard, with the switch (push pad) on the right hand side of the dash (same type of switch you scroll through the various options on left hand side) also dims the dash lights as you mentioned), it just sounds like your Alpine has utilised this wiring to balance the lighting in the cabin.
  4. A few years back this company used to treat their customers as repeat buyers, you know "treat them well and they'll buy from us again", this seems to have gone down the toilet as I've not heard anything good about them at all, reneging on promises of work they would do, failure to honour collection dates, poor servicing, the list goes on and on and on. If you are not experienced then take your money elsewhere.
  5. You can buy these clear LED reflectors on fleabay with varying numbers and patterns of LED's. I much prefer these over the small oblong units you can buy as the clear LED reflectors look more like factory OEM. As I understand it the '06+ model reflectors are triangular in section and allow easier fitting of LED's than the '03 to '05 which are pretty much flat in section.
  6. A mate bought a similar net 'bag' from Aldi for next to nothing, it didn't have clips so he bought four small carabiners from Blacks to attach it to the D rings. A very cheap solution.
  7. Sounds to me like you need to go on a couple of tunnel runs rather than get your jollies in an underground Tesco carpark as you never know just who could be lurking in the shadows (What's that in the shadows, The Stranglers, showing my age now).
  8. I've owned both auto and manual of the same model, OK they're a bit long in the tooth now but I had both an Auto 200SX which was my first 200SX and then I had a manual 200SX. I do appreciate that technology has come a looong way since those models but I must say that I really did enjoy the manual. The only time the auto came into its own was in heavy traffic on a commute. I've never driven an auto Zed, I only have experience of my manual and I wouldn't swap that for an auto. I'd like to try an auto box just to see what they were like, I'm opened minded about this and I suppose the only way you're going to make an informed decision is to spend a bit of time with both.
  9. Tasty tasty very very tasty, they're very tasty. Shame I've been away for a couple of weeks and spent far too much. GLWS.
  10. Welcome back. I hope you have an enjoyable drive back later today.
  11. Hey Rich welcome to the forum. I changed my orange reflectors for white and it definitely looks a lot better for it, or you could go one better and get them with added LED's and wire them for DRL's or have them light up when your sidelights come on.
  12. Hey Tom, welcome and good luck with the hunt.
  13. Congratulations on our purchase you greedy bugger lol.
  14. Welcome to the forum Steve, September is getting closer but I'm betting it can't come quick enough for you.
  15. If you use your phone to record when you do the pedal dance you can play it back and count the flashes of the lights which will give you the fault code.
  16. Yes, this was the video I was referring to. If the sound of the totally knackered drop links is nothing like the sound you're car is making I'm wondering if its the gasket at the top of the rear damper as when these fail they're known to make noises although I've never heard them described like that of a dump valve.
  17. If its been up in the air for a while your rear drop links might be failing. If you check on YouTube "rear drop links for 350Z" you'll find the type of squeaking you may be experiencing.
  18. Does the Scorpion website not have a video of the sound of the exhaust like the Cobra site has (I'm a bit lazy, I've not checked the Scorpion site).
  19. Totally agree with Kyle, it appears that you've been well and truly ripped for 300quid. Even if the motor was loose the glass was initially still going up and down OK. That's why a lot of people call Nissan Dealerships, Stealerships. Chances are its just something that's loose behind the door card. I'd go back to the stealership and get the old motor back. You never know when It might come in handy.
  20. What a complete plank, I bet he has the personality of a box of rotten eggs. What a letch, "look at my great car, do you fancy coming for a ride in it with me?" HaHa, I do it all the time in my ZED lol..
  21. There is a 15amp fuse from the battery and a 10amp fuse you can remove from the ignition switch. The removal of these will prevent the car from being started.
  22. Hey Pete, If you check out the 350Z parts for sale near the top of the page there's a guy A9H-RX, who is breaking a 350Z, he has loads of parts for sale, cigarette lighters aren't mentioned but it may be worth asking! Otherwise ask ZMANALEX.
  23. B17, Azure Blue is by far the best colour Nissan have ever painted a car, without any shadow of a doubt.
  24. B17, Azure Blue has got to be by far the best colour Nissan ever painted the 350Z.
  25. I saw a silver (could've been a K23 but I'm not sure) '07 driving through Newbold near Rugby this afternoon, we both shared a bit of love by giving each other a wave and carrying on our merry way!!!
