  1. Hey Jay, you've done a fantastic job on that although BT want their aerial back to fit on the Tower. Mishimoto also do some great, relatively cheap slam panels, air diversion plates or whatever people call them these days. It'd tidy up the engine bay a treat. Good detailing again.
  2. Has any one gone through this process which apparently takes about an hour an drastically reduces hydrocarbons and CO2 and clears out a lot of carbon from the engine? I've been quoted £!55 for my DE and was wondering if anybody had used this system and noticed any difference in the running of their engine? Or is this this another motor trade set of smoke and mirrors?
  3. I suppose a lot could depend on how much beer you consumed the night before as well. Just a word of warning if you bought the orange ratchet type axle stands I'd be a bit wary as i bought a pair of these stands and they collapsed on me and i only just managed to roll out from under the car in time before i went on the fastest diet possible. If i hadn't put the wheel I'd removed under the Zed I'd hate to think what the outcome might have been. I think they must have just have been a faulty set because when i took them back to Halfords they wouldn't even hold up under their own weight. They offered me another set but i politely declined and got a refund.
  4. Have you put new brushes in or just cleaned the motors up? New brushes are usually a longer lasting fix, definitely more than a week thats for sure.
  5. Congrats on your purchase Neo, Who gives a dribbly one if they're bringing out an update next year. Today is the here and now and is the best time to live (is that a bit Zen or what?) not next year. Look forward to hearing what pipes you put on it.
  6. Welcome to the forum and congrats on what appears to be a good purchase
  7. Welcome to the forum and yeah its definitely time to really give that itch a damn good scratch and pull the trigger on the best Zed you can afford.
  8. Hi Ed, if you're looking for parts in this country then these guys can probably cover your every need and if not they'll be able to put you in touch with someone who can. Oh yeah PM COUGAR STORE (sorry guys, how could i forget you!). Welcome to the forum ED.
  9. Welcome to the forum and i hope you're enjoying a different sort of engine roar now. :)
  10. I also found this on Wheeler Dealers and my ole China was the first person i'd seen using it, I'd never heard of it before. i get the impression that it would work better on smokey old high mileage diesels and petrol engines that had not had regular services. I think when my Zed hits 100K (which will be a while yet) i might give it a whirl but its well looked after with oil changes using 3in1, with a squirt of WD-40 every 3k and is always run on Shell 98ron V-Power or whatever they call it these days. There's only one Shell garage in my one horse town!!
  11. I've got to admit when i picked mine up i drove it like i'd stolen it for about 10 minutes and then reality kicked in as i'already been on a speed awareness course a couple of years previously but i definitely found out that it wasn't a restricted Jap import. I don't honestly see the point in driving like a teenager on the road, thats what trackdays are for. I also value my clean license. Just you watch I'll get pulled for something now.
  12. Welcome to the forum Elliot, pretty low mileage Zed you've got yourself there, looks nice n tidy.
  13. Hey there, welcome to the forum and congrats on buying the best colour paint Nissan ever put on the Zed. I think that the longer you spend looking for a good one then the longer your face aches from non stop grinning when you're in the pilots seat.
  14. I won't be spending anything on backing pads & compounds as i used to sell for a competitor of 3M and used to sell to the company that makes Simon Snorkel fire engines, Aston Martin and a number of bodyshops so consumables aren't a problem. Thanks Azure, never heard of these guys before. I'd be interested to see if they offer Rupes.
  15. Hey Del, welcome to the forum and congrats on sorting out yourself a Zed.
  16. Have you tried knocking on a slightly smaller socket onto the offending locking nut, I mean knocking it on hard with a hammer and giving it a few sharp whacks then using a breaker bar attached to the hammered on socket make sure that the handbrake is on tight and using brute strength to twist the breaker bar. This has always when I've helped friends out before. To remove the locking nut from the socket use either a length of screwed stick or an old punch to free them and hope you've not damaged the socket too much.
  17. Welcome to the forum Samm. As with GMBallistic this is the part i understand you're after. If there aren't any for sale on the for sale section of this forum, i do know that there are two wheels for sale on EBay, one with the GT switch panel and the other without. If we (GM and I) both have the wrong end of the stick then further description will be needed. As GMBallistic mentions ZManAlex (a trader on this site) supplies pretty much everything. Hope this helps.
  18. I've never seen, but then again I've never really looked. Does anyone know if there are any hire shops who hire out decent quality DA Polishing machines? Not Rotary's. I'd be quite happy and it would probably be the case anyway that you provide your own consumables etc which I'd prefer anyway. At this point in time I don't see the point in spending £250 plus on something that I'd more than likely only use once. I might win a prize for Dumbass question of the day and I'm putting my flame suit on as i write this, but I just thought I'd ask the question.
  19. Hey Lewis, welcome to the forum and its nice to hear that the Italians are showing an interest in a car that wasn't built in their country. Happy travels.
  20. Lee go onto YouTube and type in "squeaky rear drop links on 350Z" the video is a before and after. Hope this clears up just what your problem is.
  21. Welcome to the forum and congrats on the purchase of your Zed, I'm an ex 200SX S14 owner myself, i had two the first was pretty much bog standard and my second was a bit of a beast. You'll slot right in here as the members are really friendly and knowledgeable and you'll be really unlucky if someone on here can't solve a problem you may be encountering. I'm sure there are a few hundred years experience between the most knowledgeable of members. Just get stuck into the info available on the site and you'll usually find that someone has encountered your problem before and will be ready to share a quick fix. Enjoy.
  22. Hey Bracey, welcome to the forum and congrats on buying a Zed, I do miss my bikes, admittedly in the summer months which are far too short but the Zed partly makes up for that, hope you really enjoy it when its -5 degrees outside and you're not wrapped up like the Michelin man and you're in a sweatshirt enjoying some fun driving.
