  1. Ah thank you, useful thread!
  2. Sadly, it's time to list my Z for sale after four years of joy. I'm just wondering if there are any places that you would recommend for listing it? Or any Z specialists that are always interested in buying? (I know you need 100 posts here) Of the obvious sites for listing, which do you prefer? Auto Trader I haven't sold a car on AutoTrader for at least a decade. It's expensive and there's a deeply frustrating word limit on the ad, so I can't say all the things I want to about it. Has it gone through any kind of resurgence since I last paid attention to it? eBay I've sold cheaper, less specialist, cars on eBay really quickly and easily. But I get the feeling that for more valuable and unique cars, it won't be as good. Seems like you get more people there who waste your time without actually being serious about buying. Pistonheads I'd have thought this would make the most sense for selling performance cars, but then I think the vast majority of their uses are just browsers. I search on there all the time to see what's around and how much certain cars are going for, but I've never actually tried to buy a car on there. Wisdom welcome
  3. Apologies for the late reply... I'm not sure how old the wheels are, they were on the car when I bought it 18 months ago. From their condition I'd say they weren't on long before that, but that's a guess. The refurb was a few weeks ago and they haven't been fitted since
  4. I decided to keep another set instead, so selling these... 18", black, 8.5 front, 9.5 rear, 5x114.3. Offset 30. Refurbished - see the quality in photos. Near immaculate. I would prefer to sell for collection, I'm in Witney, OX28. I will ship at the buyer's additional cost but you're likely looking at £25 at least (not a final quote!) Email for more or higher-res pics or to come take a look if you're local. £750 (wrong date in the photos, I thought it was the 13th! I didn't take the pics two days in the future)
  5. It used to be 20mm lower than the photo with the black alloys, but I live in the sticks and it scrapes along the ground on humped country lanes, so it had to go back up. The Axe wheels are 19s, s it's helped fill the arches a bit better. That's another reason I'm tempted to stick with them
  6. Haha, sorry. Apparently I can't count spokes. I'd prefer the GTRs in grey, which solves nothing. Grrrf.
  7. Yeah, GTR. Why? Are Grids better?
  8. Hah yeah I will most likely sell the Rotas if I decide not to put them back on. That pic doesn't show the Rotas well, but that's kinda what I don't like about black wheels anyway. I almost don't notice them
  9. I've got a decision to make on wheels. The GTRs were on the car before, but I didn't love the look of it with black wheels (car is gunmetal). They were also a bit scuffed, so I bought these silver Axe wheels and took the Rotas off for a refurb. The Axe wheels look fine on the car but now, but I'm not 100% sold on quite bright silver wheels against gunmetal grey, and now I have the Rotas back, they're looking super sharp. So which set do I keep and which do I sell?
  10. Latest of many purchases was all top notch as ever. Always my first port of call for any Z bits
  11. Re-listing the Y-pipe and Cat pipes. See images & details at the top
  12. Yeah my TC chucked a fit when I first got the car cos someone left it with undersized tyres ridiculously stretched. I'd assume that both 30 and 35 are in the sensible TC range for 19" 245 and 275 though?
  13. I couldn't agree more, if I knew anything about them I wouldn't have needed to start a thread! The ones I'm looking at say offset: ET40 front & rear (no idea what that means) No sign of any number like 11J - what's that called and I'll ask about it? Cheers! et40 might not fit over your brakes as the mounting face is to close to the spokes with et40 11j is the 95j in 19x9.5 its the width of the wheel in inches Would that be different for non-Brembo? I'm JDM calipers... Oh ok, so I'm 8.5J ET40 for 245/35/19 and 9.5J ET40 for 275/35/19
  14. Cheers! So no need for 30 profile rears? There was talk running lower if the rear is wider... tyre profile is subject to the wdith if the tyre is 275/35/18 the tyre is 275mm wide and the profile is 35% of the width(275mm) high does that make sense? so a 35 on a 245 is smaller than a 35 on a 275 Wouldn't that mean you'd want a lower profile on the rear to even it out? 35 of 245 is closer to 30 of 275 than to 35 of 275 (85 & 82 vs 96)
  15. Cheers! So no need for 30 profile rears? There was talk running lower if the rear is wider...
