  1. Ah, i see whereabouts you're talking about now. If you can get hold of a really small syringe (not sure of the size you need to be asking for) and some thin vinyl glue ( i think normal superglue would be too thick) then I'd use the needle to prick a small hole into the bubble and then apply the most minimal amount so that it won't run all over the place when you flatten down the bubble.
  2. Daryl, if you're not stuck for space (yes i know you're cleaning your garage out) I'd be inclined to do as Mack says and keep hold of it as there is always someone looking to revert back to stock prior to selling, it might get you a few quid or part payment to something that you want. But, if space is at a premium I'd either put it on fleabay or offer it to someone for free on this site as long as they collect. Or give it a couple of weeks then scrap it.
  3. A few years ago a mate of mine suffered scratched paintwork which he couldn't prove was the fault of the garage. He got nowhere with it and since then every time he takes his car in for any type of work he gets the service manager to go round the car with him checking it panel by panel. I've taken to doing this as well as i think it sends a subtle message that you're not prepared to be messed around with a his word against mine scenario. We go through the same process when i collect the car as well.
  4. You know these keep fit freaks who get up at sunrise to run 60 miles before they go to work? Just don't bother with the running, keep fit, detail your Zed.
  5. Welcome to the forum Jason and congratulations on the purchase of your GT4.
  6. Could it be that he wants the sex tape back that he made with his mistress, before the guy who bought the car tries to contact him on the house landline??
  7. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the purchase of your Zed. Aren't they just bloody great?
  8. Welcome to the forum Jack and congratulations on the purchase of your 350Z.
  9. Welcome to the forum Steve, glad to hear you've got your problem sorted.
  10. On the fifth photo of your last set on the far side of the exhaust you can see something plugged into the exhaust, just take a few photo's closer to the engine but including the pipe with the plug as this is the decat. There is one on each side of the exhaust..
  11. Hey Dave, sorry to hear about your problem but if I've understood you correctly Bank 1 = drivers side. I hope this is the info you were after.
  12. Hey Matt, welcome to the forum and congratulations on the purchase of your Zed. The window motors on the Zed are a notorious weak point, whatever you do don't go to Murley Nissan in Warwick to buy your replacement. Get in touch with ZMAN ALEX (a trader on this site) he'll sort you out. There are how to's in the forum. You could also have a go at cleaning the motor out and fitting new brushes yourself, although some consider this a temporary fix.
  13. Hey Paul, welcome to the forum, I'm sure you'll find everything you need here plus a lot more.
  14. Oh Andy, I just can't stop coming back time and again to look at this work of art and each time I find my mind running away with schemes as to how I could get the cash together to buy such a labour of love. Unfortunately I keep having to snap myself back to reality with the realisation that I just don't have the garage space. I've even had thoughts of selling my Zed, which just won't do. Please someone buy this soon so I can stop torturing myself. GLWS Andy.
  15. Congratulations leet8845, well that didn't take long did it? We obviously convinced you that buying a Zed was the best thing since the internal combustion engine was invented. It looks like you've bought a tidy one.
  16. Lots of parents in the USA buy 350Z's for their kids when they start college and the kids are only used to driving FWD cars with about 125bhp, plus since '02 to '08 there were 161878 Zeds sold in the USA compared to 8250 in the UK over the same period so they're pretty cheap now. I've seen some hideous photo's of crashed Zeds in the USA, one where the car had broken in half.
  17. Welcome to the forum. the engines were designed to cover 200,000 miles with regular maintenance and just think of all of the cash you'll be saving on oil. If you're looking to do a compression test then the standard psi per cylinder is 185 and 142psi is considered low. All cylinders should be within 10% of each other. You'll also love the torque. Happy hunting. I read on an American site last night of a Zed that has covered 250k miles
  18. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the purchase of your roadster.
  19. Welcome and congratulations on your purchase. Someone is going to have permanently empty pockets from now on.
  20. Check out a guy called Mr Patchbay on YouTube, this guy does some really crazy stuff with dash light LED's including dash lights that change colour with a remote from red to blue to green to white etc and I think he ships overseas (he's based in the US). Check him out this guy is a clever dude. He has an email address, I just don't have it on hand. All the work I've seen him do is on 350Z's (he runs one himself.)
  21. VQ35DE block height =215mm whilst the HR engine is taller hence the bonnet hump. Its difficult to answer your question about weight as Will mentions, a lot depends on whether you're asking for a completed engine weight and with or without fluids.
  22. Hey, welcome to the forum and yes it is the Encyclopedia Brittanica of the 350Z and congratulations on your purchase.
  23. I'm going to be pedantic now, but shouldn't you be a member of the Delorean owners club as you posted on 19th Aug 2014,
  24. You say you have a bubble in the dash vinyl next to the clocks, has your speed cluster been vinyl wrapped because that face of the clocks is silver plastic. If it's been wrapped use a craft knife to just puncture the wrap and after applying heat (you could get away with a hairdryer) push the wrap down. A switch blanking plate should be available from any Auto electrical supplier. Don't see why an import switch shouldn't work.
  25. Welcome to the forum and I hope you get this sorted out and with not too much pain in your pocket!
