  1. Hey Kaveney, welcome to the forum and congrats on buying yourself a tidy Zed. Sorry to hear about your problem,
  2. Alistair, welcome to the forum and congrats on purchasing what looks to be a great car.
  3. Hey Joel, welcome to the forum and congrats on buying one of the few cars that has you grinning even before you've got into the drivers seat.
  4. It's just like fashion in clothes isn't it? What looks nasty and tacky 10 years ago is now classed as "vintage" and commands top prices. I've got an original Vivian Westwood, Seditionaries "destroy" shirt from 1977 and I've been offered £800 for it and i don't think its been washed since 1978 (i jest it was 1980). But as for neon's, not my cup of tea I'm afraid.
  5. Clutch High bite Point = normal, every new owner finds it a bit weird, it is adjustable, BUT be careful if you try this. Engine Idle = As GM Ballistic writes. Brakes = Apply Copper Slip to back of the pad. Is it worse when braking at slow speeds? RE; dust, what pads are fitted? Paint = Front of the car suffers badly from chips, not sure about the bubbles you mention. What year & mileage is your Z? Post some photo's. Leather = I've been recommended Dr. Leather products but have yet to receive them so as yet can't comment. Read Detailing section, more info there. Gearbox = A lot of gearboxes feel a bit notchy, more so if you're used to Beemers, do you have any service history with your Z? Well it doesn't sound like its going to blow up or burst into flames, but it'll be worth finding a 350Z specialist near you to cover things you don't fancy doing yourself. Don't even THINK of going to a Nissan stealership. If you're near Leicester go to Cougar Sport, or Abbey Motorsport 10 mins from J6 on M25 or Horsham Developments can be found at Chieveley, Berkshire, these guys all really know therestuff. I'm sure other members will chime in if you are nowhere near any of these. Hope this helps.
  6. What were those snowsocks that a few members were putting on there rear wheels either last winter or the winter before? I know they weren't any good for more than a couple of inches of snow but i remember a few people raving about them.
  7. Amazon sell code readers from about £15 upwards.
  8. ^^^^^^^^^^ Although i agree to a point there comes a point in time where there is a tipping point and nothing travels faster than word of mouth. Its really difficult to get your business a decent name and reputation and it takes far less to screw it up and if you have a bad attitude that goes with bad reputation then its either time to change the company name or pack it in. They may only be agents but even so they're providing a service and it sounds hit and miss at the best of times. Just makes me wonder how many other clubs/forums use Paisley and just what percentage of their business consists of car clubs/forums?
  9. Hey Colin, welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase of your Zed, love your plate, may beelzebub be with you.
  10. Welcome to the forum and congrats on what looks to be a really tidy Zed.
  11. Welcome to the forum Paul, so you just couldn't keep away eh? £6K of work ah, stealerships they're such a laugh as Steel Lynx mentions, you've got to post this list of theirs. This has to be a record. More than enough help and knowledge on this site along with great dealers. Keep us posted.
  12. Why is it always red paint that seems to fade or show these 'waterspots' more than any other colour. I had the same thing happen on my last red 200SX S14, i could use Megs Ultimate Compound and it would look better until it rained. I don't know if a machine polish would cure it, the only way i got rid of it was to have the bonnet, roof and boot repainted. This was on a '97 car and was painted in '09. I know I'll never buy another red car again. I've seen more patchy, faded red cars than any other colour.
  13. Hey Ali, welcome to the forum (better late than never eh?) and glad to hear you're still getting your kicks out of your Zed.
  14. Thats £60+ you can now use to put fuel in the tank and go for a bit of a play.
  15. I came out of the shops the other day to find some cheeky nurk taking selfies, he then had the cheek to ask if I'd let him take a few more with the drivers door open with him standing as though he was either getting in or out of it. I politely sent him on his way.
  16. Have you thought about inquiring at a sign writers with a lazer plotter or if you want to DIY, try a modeling shop for a sheet or two of Letraset.
  17. Welcome to the forum. +1 on Azure Blue, +1 on mt and GT spec. Happy hunting.
  18. Welcome to the forum and congrats on purchasing your Zed. I have to agree with Bulletmagnet, they don't have the best of reputations.
  19. Welcome to the forum Mouldie, and congratulations on the purchase of your Roadster.
  20. Thanks guys, I'll give this Dr Leather stuff a go, the leather itself is in really good condition, not even scratched so worth trying to save. Wasn't aware that leather was treated with a clear coat, thanks for that nugget of information. Just goes to show how much we're suckered into buying unnecessary products.
  21. Hey Benmo. welcome to the forum. I take it you're pretty happy with your Zed then?
  22. Hey Thomas welcome to the forum. I had a couple of 200SX S14's myself before i bought my 350, lets hope you're luckier with your 350.
  23. Hey Rob, welcome to the forum, just think, not too many hours to wait until you find out what you've bought and can get behind the wheel.
