  1. So after reading a few of the replies, I'll get something other than a beemer Tempted by the GT TDI Golf.. I've had a Jetta before and I assume it's just the same, which is a good thing sinced I loved the car. It's just a bad habit I've gotten in to. For some reason I assume anything 70k and less guarantees nothing will break. I am always really hesitant when looking at cars 80,90k miles.. especially petrols.
  2. Thanks guys. My situation has somewhat changed a little..my budget now stretches to £5k! I've been looking at 1 and 3 series bmw's. Anything I should be looking out for when buying a BMW? Best model of 3 series within 5k budget? Also open to other suggestions of course! Cheers
  3. Not too sure on the micra lol Clio 182 looks decent! GM- not fussed on petrol or diesel or amount of doors Manual preferred Don't mind fwd,rwd or 4x4 Hatchback/Coupe Cheers
  4. Hi all, Looking to get a more economical car to use for commuting. Looking for a few suggestions please! Requirements: Max of £4k Does at least 40 mpg 70k mileage tops Isn't terribly slow At least a 1.4 Cheers
  5. Upload them to a website, for example http://www.upload.ee/ , copy the code it gives you , looks like this a bit: http://www.upload.ee/image/4231897/IMG_0255.JPG and then once you've got that, when you reply on here, click the image icon next to the speech bubble and pop the url in.

    Horn Relay

Hi all, I need to buy a new horn relay for the 350z. They're on eBay but only ship from the US and will take a while to get to me. Anyone selling one perhaps? Cheers
  8. What's black, white and red all over...? A nun with sunburn. Two fish's in a tank, one turns to the other and says... "how do you drive this thing??"
  9. Don't know how I've managed it but mine's about £700 for a 10 month policy or £820 ish for 12? I'm 21 with 3 years ncb. I'm with elephant.
  10. Thanks guys. My neighbour saw me with the bonnet up and kindly came out to lend a hand. We've came to the conclusion that the horn relay needs replacing, would something like this be suitable? Cheers
  11. Went out and bought a multimeter and I'm just tinkering with the car at the mo, but I can't seem to find where the horn relays are where I apply the power? I've found what I think are the two horns next to the front right headlight, but not much else. Could anyone be so kind to post a pic or two of where I'm looking? Cheers
  12. Brilliant, thanks. Will give it a go.
  13. I'm yet to take the car to the garage (this coming weekend), but I was wondering if there is a guide on how to test the horn? If I'm not mistaken, you can apply volts directly to it and test if it works? Just thinking it will be easier if I test that and if it doesn't work I can tell the mechanic what I've already done and at the same time I'll also be learning how to fiddle with cars a bit more!! Edit / Also, while I'm here... After driving for about 30-40 meters, wheels/brakes are making a really high pitched 'grasshopper'-sounding noise which stops immediately when the brakes are applied and starts again when I lift off the brakes, is this a warped disc maybe? ..Cheers!
