Thanks for all of the replies, i've only had my 350Z for two weeks so i'm a bit pi**ed that the malfunction light has decided to come on. It does have a full service record but that probably doesn't count for too much. A couple of replies have got me a bit baffled as i've never heard of a 'pedal dance', could someone explain what this is. I'm pretty good at street dance, but pedal dance? Can somebody please explain?

neilP, it has nothing to do with a few pence, read the post properly and you'll find the word 'mistakenly' there's a big difference between being a tightwad and making a genuine mistake.

speaking of brake calliper refurb and the gold paint, does anyone know whereabouts the red brembo decals can be bought for refurbished callipers?

Hi all, i wonder if anyone can give me some advice. A week ago i mistakenly filled my tank with 95ron fuel, i didn't realise until i checked the receipt when i got home. I've been running the car gently to make space until i can top the tank up with 98ron but yesterday i noticed that the engine malfunction light had come on and has stayed on. The engine itself feels & sounds ok with no pinking or anything. Could the engine malfunction light staying on be a result of running the car on lower 95ron fuel than the recommended 98ron? I intend topping up the car with 99ron fuel tomorrow in the hope that it will mix with the fuel left in the tank and raise the ron rating slightly. I will do this until there is no more 95ron left in the tank. Any advice gratefully recieved. Thanks in advance. samsniss350z

hey wasso, what a beautiful subtle job, i'm a newbie of two and a half weeks standing and i think what you've done is superb and subtle and in my mind they're the best type of mods. it's certainly given me food for thought and juding by previous comments the turbo versus supercharger argument could go on forever. i think you've done a wonderful jon. samsniss350Z

HI, i wonder if anyone can help me (save money), i owned a couple of 200sx's and bought a Haynes manual only to find that it covered the LHD 200 and also the 4 door Sentra. The manual itself was pretty much a waste of money as it covered very little of the 200SX. I'm thinking of buying a Haynes manual that covers the 350Z but it also covers the G35 INfiniti 4 door. I fear that i'm going to be wasting my money as with the 200SX manual. Can anyone offer any insight as to what i could be getting myself into. Thanks in advance, samsniss350z.

unfortunately my wheels (all four of them) are the scabbiest wheels i've seen on a car that is on an '04 plate. Some of the paint has bubbled and some paint on the spoke has diappeared in chunks. Next spring i'm going to get all of them powder coated as it takes away the focus from an otherwise tidy car. i don't know if the previous owner could have got them done under warranty (thats if they were in poor condition under warranty period) but roll on next spring.

Hi Imaple, welcome, i know of a silver '06 but i must admit i've never seen a white 350Z. I've seen gold, blue and silver but yet to see a white one. Good luck with your search. samsniss350z

to the Ska mad legend that is spurs mad Dave. could it be possible that there is a dodgy solenoid as the lad i spoke to mentioned without prompting that if the switch didn't make a 'click' when operating the switch then it was definately a solenoid and not the motor. I'm not doubting for a minute that the motor could be shot but i'm just wondering, have i been fed a line re solenoid explanation? best regards, samsniss350z.

hi all, this is a follow up to a post i uploaded last week requesting help regarding a drivers side window that failed to open (i'm only grateful it didn't shut down in the open position). i recieved a couple of reply's both of which were helpful. i didn't need to act on either as dark forces conspired and the window started to work again of its own valition. Unfortunately it happened again yesterday leaving the window jammed shut and no matter how much fiddling nothing rectified it. I'm getting a little unnerved by this for a couple of reasons, one being an MOT failure so i need to do something about it. I was chatting to a mechanic (not affiiated to any manufacturer) who suggested that it could be a dodgy solenoid as there was no 'click' when i operated the switch. This sounded feasible. but not being a mechanic myself was uncertain as to the validity of his comment. Could what he said be feasable? If correct would it be expensive to fix? Could it be something i could do myself? Again i would be grateful for any feedback. samniss350z.

I encountered a bit of trouble with my 350Z the day after i bought it and a few of you were really quick to offer advice and for that, i thank you. samsniss350Z.

HI, i wonder if anyone can help with a problem that developed since yesterday when i bought my 350Z. when i bought the car the drivers side window worked OK, but since this morning it won't work at all. The passenger side works fine but the drivers side won't work at all, the button seems totally dead. I spoke to the guy i bought the car from this afternoon and he didn't seem at all bothered, after all he's got his cash so as far as he's concerned its not his problem and to be fair the window was working OK when i bought the car. Does anyone have any ideas as what the problem may be? Is it something i can fix myself? Is it a common problem? If anyone has any ideas as to what the problem could be i'd be very gratefull. hello to all club members, i joined today (18/6/12). i thought i'd go for something a bit more modern having owned a couple of Nissan 200sx's, one totally bog standard and the other pretty highly tuned and highly strung with it. Any way i've fancied a 350Z for a couple of years now and now i have the cash to find myself a nice tidy one. If anyone has any comments on what to look out out for and what to walk away from with regard to purchasing i'd be very gratefull. i look forward to attending a few meets and maybe bumping into a few of you.
